Baby Sitting Grandkids

Tuesday morning we loaded up our things I have been gathering up in the cabin to take to our new home in Draper.  I have been going through the cabin leaning things out.  It feels good to clean as I go and get rid of clutter.  We had to hurry and be out the door in time to baby sit the Thomas grandkids for a couple of days by 4pm. Natasha and Bridger are going on a hunting trip from Tuesday evening till Friday.  We arrived just in time 4pm so Tash could make it to parent teacher conference and then meeting Bridger in Provo.  We took Lincoln to his football practice for two hours.  Craig watched Lincoln while I watched Annie and Winn at the play ground there.  We were at Big Bear park in Sandy/they have an awesome play ground for the kids to play on while football practice is going on.  Annie loved the zip line they had for the kids.  Fun to watch her and Win play.  We were able to break away and watch Lincoln play football too.  He is doing a great job.  He loves football and is very knowledgeable in having a conversation about the sport.  He has his favorite teams he likes to watch on Tv.  Craig loves football too so they have some fun conversations.  We got home just in time to get the kids ready for bed by 8:30 pm.   We arose early 7:30 am to get the kids feed and ready for school-  they ride the bus to school and out the door by 8:15 am.   I did the mommy thing cleaning up the mess, making beds and leaving things clean for the day.  I was able to go over to our new home and unload the things we brought from the lake.  Finding places in our new home.  It is starting to feel like home with the things we have left.  Our master bedroom is just about done decorating for now.  I still like our old bedding I bought in 2000.  It is in great shape still and blends with the wall color in our new bedroom.  I went shopping after I got the kids off to Ross and Tjmaxs to look for some pillow to lighten up things in our master room.  I found some really pretty white pillows.  I’m adding white in my flower arrangements to lighten the color scheme.  It it coming together very nicely for now.   I put away all the things we bought.  We do need to go shopping to add more decor to our new home.  The family room needs another couch and Tv.  We have got to get some new rugs and desks for Craig’s office.  We put an old rug we have had for 20 years it is just wore out and ugly, it has to go !!  It is screaming at me you have served your purpose time for a new look.  This is the fun part decorating.  It is a little over whelming at times. I just have to pace myself.   We need to furnish the entire basement.   But going to have to wait until after the end of the year to buy much of anything.  We have our money tired up for the year.  It took all we had to buy the place.  So nice to know it is paid off.   It will be a fun project for us over time. While I worked putting things away Craig worked in our small two car garage helping Michael put new breaks on his car.  Wednesday was a busy day after school carpooling the grandkids to their after school activities.  Winn had football practice, Annie dance lessons and Lincoln needed to go by his school to the book fair to buy some books.  We were really hungry.  I had not eaten since breakfast.  We picked up pizza at Little Caesars on the way home.  We got ready for bed and watch half of Spider-Man the new movie out.  Off too bed I was beat from our busy day. Thursday morning the same routine up early 7:30 am -get the kids dressed, breakfast and out the door for the bus.  Little Annie is so darling.  She is 5 yrs old and goes to kindergarten all day.  She rides the bus with her brothers.  She loves going to school.  She was slow this morning getting up.   I had to carry her into the kitchen and feed her and dress her.  She was not wanted to go today.  I told her she couldn’t miss school.  I hurried and tidied up things and headed over to our home again to finish unpacking our things.  I was able to put out my fall decorations.  I got my Halloween box at Natasha’s home in storage. Fun to get out my decorations and decorate our front door.  Makes it look like we live there even though we are only part time.  I have enough fall decorations to decorate the cabin and our new home. It is starting to feel like home.  I had several flower arrangements I needed to redo after sitting in storage- adding white flowers to the color scheme.  I had to hurry back by 2:00 pm for the kids arriving home it was early day.  Tasha called and said she was coming home early.  So I didn’t need to stay Thursday night.  I was able to go home and sleep over one night at our new home.
