Cleaning My Storage Closet

We have our work cut out for us this next week living the Chandra family againThursday I started cleaning out our storage closet.  I have been dreading tackling it I had just been throwing things in there from the holidays and it was he didn't pile.  It was overwhelming in the beginning I had a hard time getting my still going.   I'm stuck to the task I spent half day Thursday all day Friday and today sorting and trying to figure out what to get rid of and repacking things.  I have also throwing things away that are obsolete through a whole bunch of & the way that I had collected over the years I just never look at them again, everything is accessed on the Internet by using your phone now it's so handy and it sure saves on the clutter the piles up.  The information age is that are very fingertips.   I love the seasonal decorations I got out all my Halloween decorations a share and put them throughout the house on the main level.  I didn't decorate much for the fall and Halloween season last year because I was in Texas for three weeks taking care of my mom.  It was fun to get out the Halloween decorations and clean the main level good looks so fun when it's decorated cute.  I'm dead beat tonight it's Saturday night at midnight I have put a hard-working day in. My legs and feet are killing me I need to go to bed.  Craig went to the cabin for the weekend.  This gave me time to finish sorting and clearing things out.  It feels really good to have it sorted amazing how much room I have in the closet now.  I still need to sort the Christmas corner I need to pick up some more boxes and bubble wrap so I can wrap the breakable things.  Craig says we are selling our house as soon we can get it ready to put on the market so I need to start weeding things out slowly.  Moving is going to be a lot of work and I dread it!!! Helping Shannon and Tasha move within a two-week time period was so much work and now we've got to move them in their new homes.  Shannon and Ryan have been in our home for a month now it has gone by really fast they are planning on closing on their new home this coming Tuesday.

Family history breakthrough

This week I was able to find information out about my great grandpa Joseph Hicks and his family line.  This line has been a dead end street for me for many many years, I have not been able to find out who his parents were to extend the family line finally on ancestry.com there were many family trees that showed up. I was able to tap into an locate who his parents were and to add sources, I'm so excited I've been able to extend the line back to 1758 now. I have lots of sources to attach and then I need to verify on family search to see what temple work needs to be done so exciting to be able to extend this family line!!! The miracle of the Internet ancestry.com amazing I can't keep up with the sources they're popping up so quickly, the work is definitely accelerating!!!

Babysitting grandkids

Farrah & Annie, They are both walking so cute both so adorable little walking toddlers right now their three months apart. Farrah started walking at 10 months old so she's catching up with  Annie.  For three days we spent time with nine grandkids at our cabin we came home late Monday night we had to clean and leave the cabin clean, because we are renting it out to Stephanie Symes, Craig's cousin for the week.  It is a lot of work cleaning our cabin and leaving it nice, I was exhausted by the time we got it done plus I wasn't feeling well so I had to push through it all. Shar left about 6 PM Monday night and I spent another three hours cleaning up after all the kids.  It was a full day we put the boat in and all the Jetske's so we had to clean them all up and then clean the Cabin, is just all too much work for one day, I was so exhausted,  Craig took five of the grandkids down to get dinner so I could try to finish things up, when we got back I still wasn't done so they had to wait at least another half an hour.  They were in the car they got out and locked the keys in the car so then we were delayed another 30 minutes or so. I was fit to be tied I'd had enough my energy level was running on low!!  We didn't arrive home until about midnight so it was late getting the kids home they had school in the morning and felt bad about that.   Tuesday morning Tosha arrived at 10 AM for me to watch her kids she was here till after five pm. I had a full day babysitting I was so tired and then today Wednesday I babysat Stacy's kids for about five hours so I've definitely done the grandma duty . Stacy is back in town for their Lake Powell trip, she's leaving Farrah with Buck and Trisha tomorrow afternoon and Trisha wants to know if I can help watch her this weekend so I'll probably have some time with little Farrah, she's so cute and walking now, so adorable!!   Enjoy babysitting little Farrah & Annie this week

Labor Day weekend

We brought three of the Chaudhry boys Alec , Jx, Landon with us ,  Michael had to work ,  we also brought Saydee & Carlee we had a truck full driving up.   Boston came down sick with a fever so Trisha stayed home, Buck is in the Bishopric he needed to conduct sacrament today,  shar came up last  night with her 4 kids.  We are at the lake for our last summer weekend .  Autumn is here the weather is cooling off fast and the leaves are already turning.   Feel bad I'm sick, I have been in bed all day with vertigo really bad making  me so sick ....I've never had it before don't know why it came on.   Really strange !! Craig , Shar and all 9 grandkids went to church without me.  I have slept the day away.  It's 3:45 I'm just waking up.  Guess I needed the rest.  Felling a little better now.   The weather has really cooled off!! It was in the low 40's last night.  Sad our summer is over.   It went by all too fast. We had a very busy summer!!!

Worked at the Draper Temple tonight

I worked at the Draper Temple tonight, nice to be in the temple to fill the peace and serenity there.  I have another terrible headache coming on tonight.  A week ago I had a horrible migraine and another one tonight, I don't know what's causing these bad migraine.  Monday I woke up with a bad bladder infection coming on again too.  Luckily I had an anabiotic to take well I was at the lake or I would be in bad shape this last week has abeen a little rough with illness I don't know why the migraines in the vertigo.

West Virginia becoming a state

West Virginia: Lincoln's Prayer Answered

West Virginia - the 35th State - is 152 years old. Most people don't know that the existence of WV as a state is also a heart-warming story of Abraham Lincoln. When I had an office in the West Wing of the Capitol, we used to tell visiting school children the myth about Lincoln laboring deeply over the prospect of signing the proclamation creating WV as the 35th State. He couldn't sleep. He was worried & agonizing. Where could he turn? So he "walked at midnight" in the White House gardens to pray & ask God for guidance. With the Nation pulled into two parts because of the war, how could he allow a state (Virginia) to pull apart because of slavery. He could not sleep, only pray, & he walked. And he walked. And he cried. And he prayed. But strangely, just before dawn, his clerk came in to check on the troubled president, but to his surprise, he found the signed proclamation on the president's desk. And the president sleeping deeply, peacefully, in his bed. West Virginia would be a state. The president's prayer had been answered. A heroic statue on the Capitol grounds honors & commemorates Lincoln for West Virginia's Statehood, June 20, 1863. The striking statue is called, "Lincoln Walks at Midnight."
I love the story and photo because I have so many ancestors that are from West Virginia

Jackson's birthday today

Jack's turn 12 years old today hard to believe the years all go by so fast.  I surprised him with balloons when he woke up this morning and then we met Shannon at the Olive Garden to have lunch with him and his mom. Jaxon is a special grandson in our family.
