Memorial Day

We had a nice Memorial Day.  Craig and I spent most of the day working in the yard.  Tammy came over late afternoon a friend in our stake and we play pickleball with -she launched at our boat ramp with her small kayak- to go fishing.  I went with her to learn how.   It was fun to be out on the lake so peace  Craig put his wave blasters in and took a few rides.. it has been a Beautiful day the weather is warming up from the cold weekend.  The Burbidge family arrived about 7pm.  We all went to Zip’s our favorite Bear lake place to eat.  We were excited they were open for the summer.  We love their chicken stripes and fries- so yummy and topping it all off with a shake from LaBau’s.  This week is going to be much warmer.. finally getting warmer weather by the weekend in the 80’s which will be very nice.   Natasha made this darling post-
Thank you to all the heroes. This land  is great because of you. Happy Memorial Day.  https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1suAaiuz0wo7R-WpZVwA-EmX94H2j8rOhhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1loWK2S78PSxAG9NKA1WB0RyaAeIecVDohttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=18W5sStu660WeB19boWZ7-bmpP43qpUBH

Memorial Weekend

We drove back to the lake this afternoon after we stopped by to see the Thomas grandkids.  I had to see baby Cora she so sweet and growing to fast.  We were only in Town 2 days-  It dipped down to 45 degrees the high today.  A very cold Memorial weekend.  No one is coming up this weekend with the cold weather. By next weekend it will have warmed up 40 degrees- suppose to be 80 degrees- summer is slowly coming. Craig mowed the lawn as soon as we got back his usual weekly chore.  I crawled in bed to take a nap. I’ve been just tired today.  We even slept in till 11am which is unusual.  My lower back  is really hurting me and I don’t feel like doing much.  I’ve just been cuddling in bed since we got back.  Craig just brought me a yummy chocolate burnt almond shake.  I ate the entire shake !!   Each day is suppose to warm up.  It will feel nice to have warmer weather.

Beautiful Saturday

This has been a lovely day.  In the low 60’s the weather is slowly warming up.  Craig and I have been busy working in our yard this week.  We hauled junk from the yard and lake marsh to the dump on Thursday.  Friday and today we have spent all day working in the yard.  I planted summer plants I have bought so far for the yard.  The past few nights have dropped to the low 30’s so I have had to bring them all in.  I still need to buy more but don’t to want to to have to keep hauling in at night and out in the morning for lots of sunshine so they will grow.  It is just a little too early so I’m going to wait a couple more weeks before I buy anymore flowers.  It is all looking really nice.  This next week we are going to work on making a flower bed around our big pine tree.  We got things all cleaned up around the propane tank.  My canoe boat looks really fun.  I planted some flowers in it yesterday.  I still need to add some more perennials. Just want to wait for the weather to warm up more.  I’m really tired today from all our work in the yard.  It has been nice to slow down some today and not work as hard.  Things are looking really nice so far.  The Steven's family in our Bear lake ward want to host their daughters wedding on our lawn June 6th so we are working to get things cleaned up around the yard.  Hopefully the weather keeps warming up and the weather is good for them on their special day.  Tomorrow is Mother’s Day.  I’m excited to call my mother and surprise her with the walker she has wanted for Mother’s Day.  The girls are all coming over later around 5pm at our place in Draper so we will be heading down around noon tomorrow.

Aunt Romona’s Funeral

Saturday morning May 2nd we drove down to Salt lake to attend Aunt Ramona
Symes Larsen funeral.  She lived to be 90 years old.  She is an older sister to Craig’s dad- Merlin Symes.  He died in 2001 and has been gone 19 years.  The years have gone by all too fast for us.  He died to early.  There are only three sibling left.  They are all getting old when seeing them at the graveside funeral.  It was a different funeral with everyone wearing a mask and 6 ft apart-  it was a very

nice tribute to their mother.  She was always very nice to our family.  This picture is Ramona in the wheel chair with her four daughter’s - Nancy, Terri, Nylene and Deanna- they all spoke at the funeral special memories of their mother.

Annie and Farrah

Natasha went to California last week to visit Stacy and her family.  The cousins had a great time together.  Farrah and Annie are best cousins-  such a cute picture of them together.  They are only 3 months apart.  https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1ooMWS2qJYBNJDDG3vq8DLqvLaRSzP98F

Coles Senior Graduation

Shar posted these fun pictures of our Cole graduating from High this year.  With the covid-19 virus going around this year his graduation is going to be online. He is walking out of a tent to be safe  and social distant.  https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1woHHod9uILtKeKQaNjCDa98ZG6q7_hrphttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1RsRJ0saSgMtM69L3fzdF6ZCMkmd6yb0Yhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=15PKSlQK5Cr6ChhNSElmxvrV8Wi7FGCczhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=11hUubnfQk8b8q0YibiQn3Ij5SFMrKEuvhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1ElXopl6SFGGRVYRvSHUsBs26bwRhfVoXhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1hEbVkFuTLyRg7hymNPzKcdxJQA3gf3KHhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1nz4QEmna4JukRlPj8PfogsJ8iNir0fsMhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=12GSqR-HIek1h0u757QYGHyYzAUvISIoahttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1Aq5N8n16E70NXNp5iSWoozDtBcWXfNvVhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=11mDWo5xWamqYqwUdHmMwHExl9KfqKNSN
He had a great track season.  So sad he was not able to complete his senior year due to the virus.  School closed and everything came to stop in March.  Cole worked hard and would have liked to competed again at the BYU state competition.  This virus has changed all our lives for now.
