Tuesday

Since my return to the lake I have kept busy.  I went grocery shopping Saturday afternoon at Costco. That was a lot of work for me.  Loading and unloading.  I enjoyed my time at our Draper home and having so time to myself to read and study my scripture.  I then drove up to the lake.  I was beat when I arrived.  Sunday was another busy day getting ready for church, attending our meetings, cooked us a nice dinner.  I only had one hour until I had to leave for my stake self reliance class at 4pm.  I didn’t get home until 6:30 pm.  It was a full day.  Monday we got up early and played pickleball.  I then went and help Jackie,  I vacuumed and her tidy up her place and went to the store for her.  That afternoon I tinkered at our place doing some chores.  I’m excited for all the family arriving at the lake this coming weekend for the 4th of July weekend.  I have lots of cleaning I want to get done before they all arrive..  I fixed some yummy meatloaf  and took dinner to Jackie and the single man Jim that lives next to Jackie. He is so good to look after her.  He was so surprised that I brought him a meal.  I told him Thank you for looking after her.  I also took dinner to another single man in our ward brother Von.  I took him a copy of the ensign conference talks which is now called the Liahona.   He was very grateful.  It felt good to show love to those single neighbors that live in Bear Hollow.  It is the low housing complex in our Garden City community.  There is a great need to serve those living there.  There are many non-members and those that do live there seem to struggle in coming to church.  They need lots of encouragement.  I’m trying to be kind and loving.  Today I was able to stay busy at our place.  I bought paint for our brown trim and started the touch up process outside and started working on sanding and staining our front door.  It was looking bad this year.  I will finish tomorrow.  I need to clean good on the inside and and wash windows again.  It is a monthly chore.  I’ve got to bucked down and study my lesson material- I’m teaching this Sunday.  I won’t have anytime after Friday when all the family arrives.  Lots to do tomorrow!

Ashtyn 5th Birthday

Our little Ashtyn is turning 5 years old June 27th.  The years have gone by all to quickly.  She is such a beautiful little girl with massive long deep red hair.  She is tender and very shy.  We went to Gardner village to enjoy the fairy festival.  It was a hunt from A-Z with clues to find the fairies in hanging jar along the way.  It was a beautiful in late afternoon with cooler temperatures for us to enjoy.  Took a few fun pictures.  We then had dinner at our favorite western restaurant Texas Rhode House.   They sang happy birthday to Ashtyn sitting on a saddle, she was so shy.   I Really enjoyed our time together.

May the Kingdom of God Go Forth

Section 65-“ May the kingdom of God go forth, that the kingdom of heaven may come. This has been a thought provoking statement as I have contemplated in my scripture study this morning.  Love this picture of Jesus Christ giving his apostles the priesthood authority to administer his church on the earth.  This same church is on the earth now and has been restored as times of old..  this kingdom of God will continue to grow as it fills the entire earth -is the future promise.
Historical back of this section- At Hiram, Ohio living at the home of John Johnson several important conferences were held there and 16 revelations were received including the memorable vision recorded in section 76 -the vision of the different degrees of glory in heaven.  Section 65 is referred by Joseph Smith as a Pray of comfort.  Mobs excited by the agitations of Ezra Booth, an apostate who had denied the faith and become an enemy of the church, tried to take the life of the prophet and Sidney Rigdon when they were tarred and feathered and beaten almost to death. No doubt this revelation came to strengthen them for the work and experiences before them. The Prophet Joseph Smith indicated that this section is a prayer he said, in the forefront of October I received the following prayer through revelation.
65 1-6 - Setting up the Kingdom of God
Prophet Joseph Smith explained his role in the kingdom of God- “ The ancient prophets declare that in the last days the God of heaven should set up a kingdom which should never be destroyed nor left to other people and the very time that was calculated on this people were struggling to bring it out…”I calculate to be one of the instruments of setting up the kingdom of Daniel by the word of the Lord and I intend to lay a foundation that will revolutionize the whole world.. it will not be by sword or a gun that this kingdom roll-on the power of truth is such that all nations will be under the necessity of obeying the gospel.-   (History of the church 6: 364-65
Sub heading - 1–2, The keys of the kingdom of God are committed to man on earth, and the gospel cause will triumph; 3–6, The millennial kingdom of heaven will come and join the kingdom of God on earth.

1 Hearken, and lo, a voice as of one sent down from on high, who is mighty and powerful, whose going forth is unto the ends of the earth, yea, whose voice is unto men—Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
2 The keys of the kingdom of God are committed unto man on the earth, and from thence shall the gospel roll forth unto the ends of the earth, as the stone which is cut out of the mountain without hands shall roll forth, until it has filled the whole earth.
3 Yea, a voice crying—Prepare ye the way of the Lord, prepare ye the supper of the Lamb, make ready for the Bridegroom.
4 Pray unto the Lord, call upon his holy name, make known his wonderful works among the people.
5 Call upon the Lord, that his kingdom may go forth upon the earth, that the inhabitants thereof may receive it, and be prepared for the days to come, in the which the Son of Man shall come down in heaven, clothed in the brightness of his glory, to meet the kingdom of God which is set up on the earth.
6 Wherefore, may the kingdom of God go forth, that the kingdom of heaven may come, that thou, O God, mayest be glorified in heaven so on earth, that thine enemies may be subdued; for thine is the honor, power and glory, forever and ever. Amen.   This prayer is so powerful !! It is a short section recorded yet has so much to look forward to.  I’m sure was a comfort to Joseph as the forces of evil were mouthing up against him and the other saints in the area and that his very life was under attack.
Joseph Smith’s commitment was not going to deterred. I’m so touched by the story of Joseph after he was tarred and feathered and almost killed the night before -after the family had spent scraping the tar and feathers from his raw skin- I’m sure had to be so excruciating, can’t even imagine the pain.
The very next morning Joseph Smith stood up on the front steps of John Johnson’s home and preached a sermon to the congregation that gathered- in the crowd he saw the men that had attempted to take his life the night before from their evil actions. Joseph was determined that building the kingdom of God on the earth was not going to be destroyed. I can’t even imagine having the strength to stand before them in preaching a sermon after what he had gone through. Craig and I were very touched as we saw the actual doorsteps where Joseph Stood that very morning.
Before the second coming of Jesus Christ there needs to be the kingdom of God set up on the earth that he may bring the kingdom of heaven to join together. This is why it is so important that we share the restored gospel as part of the gathering of the righteous throughout the world and establishing the Church of Jesus Christ of the earth.   In the book of Daniel found in the Old Testament it is referred to as The kingdom of God -as a stone cut out of the mountain without hands will roll fourth until it fills the entire earth.  Elder Harold B lee- a prophet in his time- discuss the relationship of the kingdom of God to the stone that Nebuchadnezzar saw in his dream-  Daniel 2: 44-45 44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

We might ask what is the kingdom of God? Again we are not left without an answer for the Lord replied- “the Keys of the kingdom of God are committed unto man on earth where there are the keys to the Kingdom there is The Church of Jesus Christ and is the Stone which was cut out of the mountain without hands has told and Daniels interpretation of the dream which was to roll forth and smite the image and breaking into pieces and to roll on until it fills the whole earth.  Section 65 -  “ The prophet Joseph Smith makes this definition of the kingdom of God: some say that the kingdom of God was not set up upon the earth until the day of Pentecost. And that John did not preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins but I say to you in the name of the Lord that the kingdom of God was set up upon the earth in the days of Adam to the present time. Whenever there has been a righteous man on the earth to whom God revealed his word and gave power and authority to administer in his name and where there is a priest of God to administer in the ordinances of the gospel and officiate in the priesthood of God there is the kingdom of God. Repent -To administer in the ordinances of the gospel and officiate in the priesthood of God there is the kingdom of God. When there is a prophet a priest or a righteous man and to whom God gives his oracles there is the kingdom of God and where the oracles of God are not there the kingdom of God is not this is but another way of saying where the kingdom of God is not there is nothing-  teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith pg 271-272-  conference report oct 1953 pg 26
The Lord’s Prayer
This verse refers to the Prayer the savior gave referred to as the Sermon on The mount.  Thy Kingdom Come-
Elder James E Talmage explained the difference between these two terms -the kingdom of God and the kingdom of heaven- “ The expression of kingdom of God is used synonymously with the term church of Christ but the Lord has made plain that he sometimes uses  the term kingdom of heaven in a distinctive sense. In 1832 he called attention to these words addressing himself to the elders of the church
Section. 65: 1-6
“Such Was the prayer, such is the prayer prescribed for this people to pray not to utter in words only, not to say only, but to pray that the kingdom of God may roll fourth in the earth to prepare the earth for the coming of the kingdom of heaven.  At the provisions and the lords prayer - thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  We are praying for the kingdom of heaven to come to, endeavoring to prepare the earth for its coming.  The kingdom of God already set up upon the earth does not aspire to temporal domination among the nations. it seeks not to overthrow any existing forms of government, it does not profess to exercise control in matters that pertain to the government on the earth, except by teaching correct principles and trying to get men to live according to the principles of true government, before the kingdom of heaven shall come and be established upon the earth with a king at the head, but when he comes he shall rule and reign for it is his right.  Confernce report April 1916 pg 128-29.

This is all so wow!! As I read the Scriptures my mind is opened up to the vision of the importance of building the kingdom of God on the earth now.  This is our greatest cause as our Prophet President Nelson invites us to do now in 2021.
By President Russell M. Nelson President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
The work of the Lord is steadily moving forward-

How grateful we are for the technology that allows us to be connected as one great worldwide gathering of disciples of Jesus Christ….

During the past few months, a global pandemic, raging wildfires, and other natural disasters have turned our world upside down. I grieve with each of you who has lost a loved one during this time. And I pray for all who are currently suffering.Meanwhile, the work of the Lord is steadily moving forward. Amid social distancing, face masks, and Zoom meetings, we have learned to do some things differently and some even more effectively. Unusual times can bring unusual rewards….

Our missionaries and mission leaders have been resourceful, resilient, and truly remarkable. Although most missionaries have had to find new, creative ways to do their work, many missions have reported doing more teaching than ever. We had to close temples for a time, and some construction projects were briefly delayed, but now they are all moving forward. In the calendar year 2020, we will have broken ground for 20 new temples.  Family history work has increased exponentially. Many new wards and stakes have been created. And we are gratified to report that the Church has provided pandemic humanitarian aid for 895 projects in 150 countries. Increased gospel study in many homes is resulting in stronger testimonies and family relationships.
I pray that we as a people are using this unique time to grow spiritually. We are here on earth to be tested, to see if we will choose to follow Jesus Christ, to repent regularly, to learn, and to progress. Our spirits long to progress. And we do that best by staying firmly on the covenant path. Through it all, our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, love us! They care for us! They and Their holy angels are watching over us. I know that is true.

The Lords Prayer
Matthew 6: 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.11 Give us this day our daily bread.12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Thankful for this time in my scripture study to learn more about the Kingdom of God and that it is restored on the earth.  Pray I may do my part in building this kingdom and Pray that the Kingdom of Heaven may join the earth and begin the Millennial reign of our Savior Jesus Christ

Answer to my ? Building of the New Jerusalem

As I have reflected about the saints gathering to independence Missouri to build Zion in this center place-  beginning in the summer of 1831 when Indepenance, Missouri was dedicated as Zion the gathering place of the New Jerusalem.  They were only allowed to gather there for two years- contentions blew up by the settlers of this area and forcibly moved the Saints out of the entire state of Missouri.  So dishearten for these early Saints.  We are living in 2021 and still the temple dedicated 190 year ago has not been built. I’ve often asked myself why? We have Temples that are dotting the earth now.   I received the answer this morning as I reread section 64 - 28 But behold, it is not said at any time that the Lord should not take when he please, and pay as seemeth him good.
29 Wherefore, as ye are agents, ye are on the Lord’s errand; and whatever ye do according to the will of the Lord is the Lord’s business.
30 And he hath set you to provide for his saints in these last days, that they may obtain an inheritance in the land of Zion.
31 And behold, I, the Lord, declare unto you, and my words are sure and shall not fail, that they shall obtain it.
32 But all things must come to pass in their time.
33 Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great.
34 Behold, the Lord requireth the heart and a willing mind; and the willing and obedient shall eat the good of the land of Zion in these last days.   Here in these verses the Lord knew they were just laying the beginning foundation. And he says his words are sure and will not fail - but all thing much come to pass in their time.  The time is not there yet for this future promise -of building The New Jerusalem and having a stronghold in this area of the earth,  the New Jerusalem will be built when the time is ready.  We have his promise to look forward to and it is sure. It will come to pass in the Lords time.  The main course at this season is to gather Zion- the pure in heart throughout the earth- share the restoration message that his church has been restored and is on the earth now !!  The gathering of Israel is taking place as they accept the gospel message of the restored Church of Jesus Christ.  With this thought I’m lead to study section 65 of the doctrine and covenants titled “ May the Kingdom of God Go Forth, That the Kingdom of Heaven May Come.

I love this picture depicting the second coming of Jesus Christ in the Clouds of Glory.  I pray to be apart of the Angels of glory announcing his second coming. In the Lord's Pray in the new testament- opening with - "Thy kingdom come on earth as it is in Heaven." we are anxiously waiting for thy kingdom to literally reign of this earth during the 1000 years of peace- as foretold.  I have greater meaning of this phrase and have repeated in my own prayers this week- Thy Kingdom Come on earth- as it is in Heaven!

Learning Highlights/ It Is Today

I'm enjoying my study time of section 64 I have dug in deeper and I’ve learned so much.
1. Overcome the world- 64:1-2
2. We are required to forgive all men their trespasses and offenses toward one another.  64:7
3. Retain a strong hold 64: 18-21 - we should retain our strong hold in Zion.
4. God requires a willing heart and a willing mind - 64:32
5. By little things proceed that which is great-
4.The importance of tithing - Will not be burn up and taken from the earth at his second coming if a full tithe payer.64:23
5. Will not be tempted above that which we are able to bear, 64:20
6. It is Today - now is the time to prepare 64: 23-25
So near is the consummation that the intervening period is called today.   I like this quote-  “ only through watchfulness and prayer may the signs of the times be correctly interpreted and the imminence s of the Lord’s appearing be apprehended.  To the unwatchful and the wicked the event will be as sudden and unexpected as the coming of a thief in the night- but we are not of left without definite information as to the precedent signs.  ( Talmage, Jesus the Christ ) pg 785-86. Notes and Commentary - 45:6 contains an explanation of why in the Lords terminology, from now until he comes can be called today.
D &C 46:6 - three scriptures contribute to the understanding of this phrase - Modern revelation states that the earths temporal history spans 7000 years divided into periods of 1000 years each.  D&C 77:6-7 Q. What are we to understand by the book which John saw, which was sealed on the back with seven seals?A. We are to understand that it contains the revealed will, mysteries, and the works of God; the hidden things of his economy concerning this earth during the seven thousand years of its continuance, or its temporal existence.7 Q. What are we to understand by the seven seals with which it was sealed?A. We are to understand that the first seal contains the things of the first thousand years, and the second also of the second thousand years, and so on until the seventh.
Peter and Abraham taught that time on earth compared to the time where God dwells is a ratio of 1000 of earth years to one day of GODS time- 2peter 3:8-7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.Abraham 3:4 - 4 And the Lord said unto me, by the Urim and Thummim, that Kolob was after the manner of the Lord, according to its times and seasons in the revolutions thereof; that one revolution was a day unto the Lord, after his manner of reckoning, it being one thousand years according to the time appointed unto that whereon thou standest. This is the reckoning of the Lord’s time, according to the reckoning of Kolob.
Since the earth will have a temporal existence before it is a celestialized, and since known that the earth is known to be In the latter sixth period of 1000 years or the sixth day in the Lord’s Terminology the present Is today - and Christ will come tomorrow. And a later revelation the Lord use the same terminology indicating that now it is called today until the coming of the Son of Man that after today, the burning that tomorrow all the proud and they would do wickedly shall be a stubble 64:23-24 - We know that after the dedication of the Palmyra temple in the year 2000 the beginning of the 7000 years have opened. The beginning of the last thousand years -the 7th seal Will be a time of tribulation -a time of cleansing the earth.  And the last time to gather Zion.
7. Don’t be in Debt -64:  27 Behold, it is said in my laws, or forbidden, to get in debt to thine enemies;8. Be not burden in well doing -

The Blood of Ephriam

64:36 For, verily I say that the rebellious are not of the blood of Ephraim, wherefore they shall be plucked out.
What is the blood of Ephriam is a question? I have contemplate for many years in my scripture study. As I have worked on my study time learning about the 12 tribes of Israel and studying my come follow me lesson material my eyes are being open with more clarity on this subject.  As members of the church have received their patriarchal blessing their lineage is announced and in their blessing the majority of the membership of the church is of the tribe of Ephraim and Manasseh who are two sons of Joseph- who was sold into Egypt by his older brothers who make up the 12 tribes of Israel. Because of Joseph’s faithfulness his father Israel adopted his two sons Ephraim and Manasseh into the family lineage. At the time of father Israel‘s death he gave a blessing to each of their sons which consisted of the 12 tribes of Israel.  Joseph received a double blessing.
I know that tribe of Ephraim was the head of the 10 tribes of Israel in the northern kingdom when the kingdom split into the northern and southern kingdoms. Judah son of Israel consisted of the southern kingdom and his brother Benjamin. As we read in the old testament the northern kingdom became captive to the great Assyrians and carried into the land northward the majority of them became slaves to the Assyrians. They no longer were a distinct group of people in this time period of the history of the earth and we’re scattered among the nations just like the Jews were also scattered among the nations of the earth because of their disobedience in not obeying the covenants of the Lord and having a rebellious spirit. Yet overtime there have survived pockets of righteous ancestors throughout the world. In verse 34 of section 64 of the doctrine and covenants it seems strange that the Lord would say that blood a symbol for descendance, Could be influenced by rebelliousness, or spiritual traits.  Is it one- is either a descendants of or not a descendants of Ephraim? The answer is no, not in the eyes of the Lord he views his children in terms of their spiritual qualities- The apostle Paul taught this principle to the early saints. The Jews took great pride in the fact that they were of the circumcised the promise people of the Lord that is that they were the covenant people. Circumcision being the token of that covenant for their people. But Paul pointed out that if one of the Circumcise violated the law his circumcision is made uncircumcision romans 2:25 - heading sub of Romans -
Chapter 2
God will render to every person according to his or her deeds—Both Jews and Gentiles will be judged by gospel laws.
As members of the church in the Gentile nations began joining the church after the death of the Savior Jesus Christ-  they were not circumcised according to the Jewish law and many of the Jewish leaders felt that these new converts were unclean and that they needed to be circumcised like them.
3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:…
24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.
25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.
26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

In other words by transgression one excludes oneself from being a true Israelite.
In the book of Mormon - Nephi also taught or behold I saying to you that as many of the Gentiles as well repent or the covenant people of the Lord and as many of the Jews as will not repent shall be cast off for the Lord covenants with none save it be with them that Repent, and believe in his son who is the holy one of Israel 2 Nephi 30.2.
The tribe of Ephraim received the birthright under the hand of His father Jacob.  Genesis 48:5-22. And was conferred by the Lord to be Joseph‘s first born.  I chronicles 5:1Jeremiah 31:9- President Joseph Fielding Smith explained- “ it is essential in this dispensation that Ephraim stand in his place at the head, exercising the birthright in Israel which was given to him by direct revelation. Therefore Ephraim must be gather first to prepare the way through the gospel and the priesthood for the rest of the tribes of Israel. When the time comes for them to be gather to Zion the great majority of those who have come into the church are of the tribe of Ephraim. It is the exception to find one of any other tribe unless it is of Manasseh.  It is Ephraim today who holds the priesthood, it is Ephraim that the lord has made covenants and has revealed the fullness of the everlasting gospel.  It is Ephraim who is building temples and performing the ordinances in them for both the living and for the dead. When the lost tribes return it will be a most wonderful site and a marvelous thing when they do come to Zion…In fulfillment of the promise made through Isaiah and Jeremiah they will have to receive the crowning blessings from their brother Ephraim the first born in Israel-   ( doctrines of Salvation 3: 252-53). An understanding of this mission of the tribe of Ephraim helps us understand why the Lord would say that the rebellious are not of the blood of Ephraim- Since this quote by President Joseph Fielding Smith we have seen many changes in the gathering of Israel. According to Sister Wendy nelson in 2013 when she was visiting Russia in a group of only 100 sisters there was a representative from each tribe of Israel in this meeting.  Levi was the only one missing at the meeting just over the border there was a missionary from Gilbert, Arizona of the tribe of Levi. Our bishop David Pettit in the 80s was also from the tribe of Levi. The tribe of Levi is sprinkled among all the tribes for priesthood leadership. The other tribes are gathering by receiving the ordinances of the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world and their temple ordinances are being administered to them by the tribe of Ephraim in these latter days as we build temples dotting the earth. The tribe of Ephraim is at the head gathering in the Lords people.
History of this anointing is found in Genesis Chapter 48- sun heading - Jacob tells of the appearance of God to him in Luz—He adopts Ephraim and Manasseh as his own children—Jacob blesses Joseph—He puts Ephraim before Manasseh—The seed of Ephraim will become a multitude of nations—The children of Israel will come again into the land of their fathers.1 And it came to pass after these things, that one told Joseph, Behold, thy father is sick: and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.2 And one told Jacob, and said, Behold, thy son Joseph cometh unto thee: and Israel strengthened himself, and sat upon the bed.3 And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,4 And said unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, and I will make of thee a multitude of people; and will give this land to thy seed after thee for an everlasting possession.5 And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I came unto thee into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.6 And thy issue, which thou begettest after them, shall be thine, and shall be called after the name of their brethren in their inheritance.7 And as for me, when I came from Padan, Rachel died by me in the land of Canaan in the way, when yet there was but a little way to come unto Ephrath: and I buried her there in the way of Ephrath; the same is Beth-lehem.8 And Israel beheld Joseph’s sons, and said, Who are these?9 And Joseph said unto his father, They are my sons, whom God hath given me in this place. And he said, Bring them, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them.10 Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, so that he could not see. And he brought them near unto him; and he kissed them, and embraced them.11 And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought to see thy face: and, lo, God hath shewed me also thy seed.12 And Joseph brought them out from between his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth.13 And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel’s left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel’s right hand, and brought them near unto him.
14 And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim’s head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh’s head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn.15 And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day,16 The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.17 And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father’s hand, to remove it from Ephraim’s head unto Manasseh’s head.18 And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head.19 And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.20 And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.21 And Israel said unto Joseph, Behold, I die: but God shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers.22 Moreover I have given to thee one portion above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.
Genesis Chapter 49 - sub heading- Jacob blesses his sons and their seed—Reuben, Simeon, and Levi are chastened—Judah will rule until Shiloh (Christ) comes—Joseph is a fruitful bough by a well—His branches (the Nephites and Lamanites) will run over the wall—The Shepherd and Stone of Israel (Christ) will bless Joseph temporally and spiritually—Jacob chooses to be buried with his fathers in Canaan—He yields up the ghost and is gathered to his people. In this chapter I learn about the blessing of all the tribes or sons of Jacob in the latter days which I now live in and witnesses these blessing being fulfilled in the year 2021-
1 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.2 Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father.3 Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:4 Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.5 Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations.6 O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their selfwill they digged down a wall.7 Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.8 Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father’s children shall bow down before thee.9 Judah is a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.  (Shiloh is Jesus Christ ) 11 Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass’s colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:12 His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.13 Zebulun shall dwell at the haven of the sea; and he shall be for an haven of ships; and his border shall be unto Zidon.14 Issachar is a strong ass couching down between two burdens:15 And he saw that rest was good, and the land that it was pleasant; and bowed his shoulder to bear, and became a servant unto tribute.16 Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.18 I have waited for thy salvation, O Lord.19 Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last.20 Out of Asher his bread shall be fat, and he shall yield royal dainties.21 Naphtali is a hind let loose: he giveth goodly words.22 Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)25 Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:26 The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.27 Benjamin shall ravin as a wolf: in the morning he shall devour the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil.28 All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.29 And he charged them, and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my people: bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,30 In the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field of Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace.31 There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife; and there I buried Leah.32 The purchase of the field and of the cave that is therein was from the children of Heth.33 And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and yielded up the ghost, and was gathered unto his people. In reading the blessings  of each son it gives insight of their location as they are scattered in the world.    We know from the history of the Book of Mormon- the Nephite’s were of the descendants of Ephraim and Manasseh.  Verse 25 - blessing of the Deep-  we know that they traveled the ocean.
13 Zebulun shall dwell at the haven of the sea; and he shall be for an haven of ships; and his border shall be unto Zidon.
I thought is is very interesting!! A haven for ships and dwell by the sea. Footnote for Zebulon - Deuteronomy 33:
18 ¶ And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and, Issachar, in thy tents.19 They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.
Joshua 19: 10 ¶ And the third lot came up for the children of Zebulun according to their families: and the border of their inheritance was unto Sarid:11 And their border went up toward the sea, and Maralah, and reached to Dabbasheth, and reached to the river that is before Jokneam;12 And turned from Sarid eastward toward the sunrising unto the border of Chisloth-tabor, and then goeth out to Daberath, and goeth up to Japhia,13 And from thence passeth on along on the east to Gittah-hepher, to Ittah-kazin, and goeth out to Remmon-methoar to Neah;14 And the border compasseth it on the north side to Hannathon: and the outgoings thereof are in the valley of Jiphthah-el:15 And Kattath, and Nahallal, and Shimron, and Idalah, and Beth-lehem: twelve cities with their villages.16 This is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages.

It will be Interesting when the tribe is revealed where their actual location is?

Bible Dictionary- Ephraim Fruitful. The second son of Joseph (Gen. 41:52; 46:20); but at the blessing by Jacob, Ephraim was set before Manasseh, the elder son (48:19–20). Joshua belonged to this tribe, and to him was due much of its subsequent greatness. After the settlement in Canaan, the district assigned to the two sons of Joseph included some of the richest land in the country, crossed by several important highways, and having within its limits historic sites like Shechem, Ebal, Gerizim, and Shiloh. Ephraim was notorious for its jealousy of any success gained by any other tribe (Judg. 8:1; 12:1). It was Ephraim’s jealousy of Judah that in great measure brought about the separation of the two kingdoms and that Rehoboam in vain tried to satisfy by going to Shechem to be crowned.
Ephraim was given the birthright in Israel (1 Chr. 5:1–2; Jer. 31:9), and in the last days it has been the tribe of Ephraim’s privilege first to bear the message of the Restoration of the gospel to the world and to gather scattered Israel (Deut. 33:13–17; D&C 64:36; 133:26–34). The time will come when, through the operation of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the envy of Judah and Ephraim shall cease (Isa. 11:12–13).

Deut 33:1617 And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.17 His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.
Ephraim, stick of
A prophetic reference to the Book of Mormon as a record of one portion of the tribe of Ephraim that was led from Jerusalem to America about 600 B.C. When joined with the stick of Judah (the Bible), the two records form a unified, complementary testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ, His resurrection from the grave, and His divine work among these two segments of the house of Israel. Section 133

In my gospel study this week I’m
Introduced to section 133 which is loaded with information about being prepared for the second coming of Jesus Christ-  and what will happen leading up to the most exciting event In The history of all the world.  This is a wow !!  This is going to take time to Study and go thru-  I have spent the entire week studying section 64.  I have learned so much.  Excited to dig into this section and send info to my brother and share in my journal the jewels of insight.

Law of Tithing

Importance of tithing- D&C 64:23 I have joked over the years that paying tithing is my fire Insurance with the Lord.
“He That is Tithed shall not be burned at his coming”.  What does this mean?  Does it mean that if a man will not pay his tithing that the Lord is going to send a ball of fire down from heaven and burn him up?  No the Lord does not do that, the Lord works on natural principles that is what it means.  If I read correctly a man who ignores the express command of the Lord by failing to pay his tithing, it means that the spirit of the Lord will withdraw from him; if he continues in the spirit of neglect to do his duty.  He will drift away into darkness gradually but surely until finally he will lift up his eyes among the wicked.   That is where he will finally land.  And when the destruction comes and when the burning comes at the second coming, he will be among the wicked and will be destroyed while those who observe the law will be found among the righteous and they will be preserved.  There is a God in heaven and he has promised to shield and protect us, I tell you there is a day of burning a day of destruction coming upon the wicked and where will we be? will we be with the wicked or with the righteous? Our Hearts and Willing Mind

In section 64 I also learn that Our Heavenly Father requires our hearts and a willing mind.  But what does this really mean? To give more insight -
Doctrine and Covenants 64–66
“The Lord Requireth the Heart and a Willing Mind” Highlight of last weeks lesson -
President Henry B. Eyring said: “I often go to the scriptures with the questions ‘What would God have me do?’ or ‘What would He have me feel?’ Invariably I find new ideas and thoughts I have never had before” (“How God Speaks to Me through the Scriptures,” Feb. 6, 2019, blog.ChurchofJesusChrist.org).
From this quote it takes a willing mind to study and then listen for the counsel to come.  With all my heart is the true desires of my heart and feelings.

Willing Heart and Mind
64:  34 Behold, the Lord requireth the heart and a willing mind; and the willing and obedient shall eat the good of the land of Zion in these last days.
D&C 64:22-  why does the Lord require of the hearts of men?

Throughout the Scriptures various parts of the human body are use figuratively and this imagery is generally derived from the functions of the body parts.  The eyes which Perceives light, is used as a symbol of perception of either godly or evil things-  Matt 5:29, 6:22-23, D&C 27:2.  The ear by which one hears becomes a symbol of hearkening or obedience.  See deut 32:1, rev 2:7, D&C 33:1, 43:1
The heart is frequently used figuratively in the Bible.  One scholar indicated that in the Bible the heart is viewed as the innermost center of man and is representative of: 1. The center of bodily life and power.  When the heart is strengthened the whole man is strengthened.
2. The center of the rational and emotional nature of man. It is the seat of love and hate the center of thought and knowledge.  It understands, deliberates, reflects estimates, it is the center of feelings and affection.  Expressing joy, pain, dissatisfaction, Anxiety, despair, fear and reverence.
3. The heart is the center of moral life.  Many degrees of spiritual growth are found in the heart.  It is the dwelling place of either Christ or Satan.  It can be hard or broken, It can be a treasure for either good or evil.  The heart is the laboratory in place of issue of all that is good and evil in thoughts words and deeds.  It is the center of the entire man the very heart of life’s impulse.  When one understands the profound imagery of the heart one can better understand why the Lord requires the heart of man.  In doctrine and covenants 64 verse 34 the  Lord added A willing mind to that basic requirement.  Wanted to share this new learning in my scripture study of the importance of the meaning of the Heart.  I have often wondered what is has meant to have a broken heart as described in the scriptures. I read we can have a hard heart or a broken heart.  In thinking about a harden heart it came to me that a broken heart is the opposite of a harden heart, it is open and willing to following the teaching of Jesus Christ.  In my scripture study the spirit has opened my heart to greater learning as to the meaning a broken heart- is required to enter the kingdom of God -  it is full of Love and kindness and a willingness and desire to serve God.  When we have a harden heart we are closed off from these qualities.  from this scripture study time I have come to a greater insight of what it means to have a Broken Heart.  I have often wonder what this really meant?  I feel today a greater meaning and understanding of what it mean to have a broken heart in the kingdom of God.

Where Are The 10 lost Tribes ?

My brother asked me to send him info that I have learned about the 10 lost tribes.  I have learned so much over the years.  I just need to gather up the info to explain what seems to be a mystery.
Our tenth article of Faith says
We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
Footnote for gathering - Isaiah 49: 20 The children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place is too strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell.
21 Then shalt thou say in thine heart, Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have lost my children, and am desolate, a captive, and removing to and fro? and who hath brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where had they been?
22 Thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.
Isaiah 60: 4 Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.
1 Nephi 19: 16 Yea, then will he remember the isles of the sea; yea, and all the people who are of the house of Israel, will I gather in, saith the Lord, according to the words of the prophet Zenos, from the four quarters of the earth.
17 Yea, and all the earth shall see the salvation of the Lord, saith the prophet; every nation, kindred, tongue and people shall be blessed.

he said to Jeroboam … I will … give ten tribes to thee, 1 Kgs. 11:31.
History of how and why the Kingdom split -1 Kings - 26 And Jeroboam the son of Nebat, an Ephrathite of Zereda, Solomon’s servant, whose mother’s name was Zeruah, a widow woman, even he lifted up his hand against the king.
27 And this was the cause that he lifted up his hand against the king: Solomon built Millo, and repaired the breaches of the city of David his father.
28 And the man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valour: and Solomon seeing the young man that he was industrious, he made him ruler over all the charge of the house of Joseph.
29 And it came to pass at that time when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, that the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him in the way; and he had clad himself with a new garment; and they two were alone in the field:
30 And Ahijah caught the new garment that was on him, and rent it in twelve pieces:
31 And he said to Jeroboam, Take thee ten pieces: for thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to thee:
32 (But he shall have one tribe for my servant David’s sake, and for Jerusalem’s sake, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel:)
33 Because that they have forsaken me, and have worshipped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon, and have not walked in my ways, to do that which is right in mine eyes, and to keep my statutes and my judgments, as did David his father.
34 Howbeit I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand: but I will make him prince all the days of his life for David my servant’s sake, whom I chose, because he kept my commandments and my statutes:
35 But I will take the kingdom out of his son’s hand, and will give it unto thee, even ten tribes.
36 And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light alway before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.
37 And I will take thee, and thou shalt reign according to all that thy soul desireth, and shalt be king over Israel.
38 And it shall be, if thou wilt hearken unto all that I command thee, and wilt walk in my ways, and do that is right in my sight, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did; that I will be with thee, and build thee a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel unto thee.
39 And I will for this afflict the seed of David, but not for ever.
40 Solomon sought therefore to kill Jeroboam. And Jeroboam arose, and fled into Egypt, unto Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon.
41 And the rest of the acts of Solomon, and all that he did, and his wisdom, are they not written in the book of the acts of Solomon?
42 And the time that Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel was forty years.
43 And Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.

10 tribes located in the upper kingdom of  Israel / the lower kingdom were the tribes  Of Judah, Benjamin and Levites are the priest that are scatted among all the Tribes.

Israel rebelled against the house of David, 1 Kgs. 12:19.-Chapter 12
Rehoboam seeks to impose greater burdens upon the people—The ten tribes revolt and turn to Jeroboam—Jeroboam turns to idolatry and worships false gods.
12: 19 So Israel rebelled against the house of David unto this day.
20 And it came to pass, when all Israel heard that Jeroboam was come again, that they sent and called him unto the congregation, and made him king over all Israel: there was none that followed the house of David, but the tribe of Judah only.
21 And when Rehoboam was come to Jerusalem, he assembled all the house of Judah, with the tribe of Benjamin, an hundred and fourscore thousand chosen men, which were warriors, to fight against the house of Israel, to bring the kingdom again to Rehoboam the son of Solomon.

none … followed the house of David, but … Judah only, 1 Kgs. 12:20.

he shall root up Israel out of this good land, 1 Kgs. 14:15. For the Lord shall smite Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water, and he shall root up Israel out of this good land, which he gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the river, because they have made their groves, provoking the Lord to anger.
16 And he shall give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, who did sin, and who made Israel to sin.

king of Assyria … carried Israel away into Assyria, 2 Kgs. 17:6. -Chapter 17
Hoshea reigns in Israel and is subject to the Assyrians—The Israelites forsake the Lord, worship idols, serve Baal, and reject all that the Lord has given them—The ten tribes are carried away captive by the kings of Assyria—The land of Israel (Samaria) is repopulated by other people—Many forms of false worship are found among the Samaritans.
1 In the twelfth year of Ahaz king of Judah began Hoshea the son of Elah to reign in Samaria over Israel nine years.
2 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, but not as the kings of Israel that were before him.
3 Against him came up Shalmaneser king of Assyria; and Hoshea became his servant, and gave him presents.
4 And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea: for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and brought no present to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year: therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison.
5 Then the king of Assyria came up throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria, and besieged it three years.
6 In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.
7 For so it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the Lord their God, which had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods,
8 And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made.
9 And the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against the Lord their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.
10 And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree:
11 And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the Lord carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke the Lord to anger:
12 For they served idols, whereof the Lord had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing.
13 Yet the Lord testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.
14 Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the Lord their God.
15 And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the Lord had charged them, that they should not do like them.
16 And they left all the commandments of the Lord their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.
17 And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.
18 Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.
19 Also Judah kept not the commandments of the Lord their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made.
20 And the Lord rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight.
21 For he rent Israel from the house of David; and they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king: and Jeroboam drave Israel from following the Lord, and made them sin a great sin.
22 For the children of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam which he did; they departed not from them;
23 Until the Lord removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day.  - 721 bc
Lord rejected … Israel, 2 Kgs. 17:20 (18:11).
shall Ephraim be broken, that it be not a people, Isa. 7:8 (2 Ne. 17:8).  The tribe of Ephriam was located in the Norhern section of the kingdom and taken into captivity-  721 Bc with all of the 10 tribes - Chapter USA 7:8
Ephraim and Syria wage war against Judah-For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken, that it be not a people.
9 And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.- same verses repeated in  2Nephi 17: quoting the book of Isaiah to the Nephite’s - who are broken off from Jerusalem in 600 BC  and traveled to America - shortly there after 587 BC the tribe Judah, Jerusalem  was taken Captive to Babylon the world supper power in timeline of history.

spoil of Samaria shall be taken away, Isa. 8:4 (2 Ne. 18:4).

Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers, Isa. 42:24.

I will say to the north, Give up, Isa. 43:6. Chapter 43
To Israel the Lord says, I am your God; I will gather your descendants; beside me there is no Savior; you are my witnesses.

1 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3 For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
5 Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;
7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
8 Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.
9 Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.
10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
11 I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.
12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God.
13 Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?
14 Thus saith the Lord, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships.
15 I am the Lord, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.
16 Thus saith the Lord, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;
17 Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.
18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.
21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
22 But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.

these shall come from … the north, Isa. 49:12 (1 Ne. 21:12).
That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.
10 They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
11 And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.
12 Behold, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.
1 Nephi 21: 9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek; and his rest shall be glorious.
11 And it shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
13 The envy of Ephraim also shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim……
