Baby sitting the Burbidge Kids

Trisha & Buck drove to St George today to look at a house there.  She asked me to baby sit the kids today.  I arrived at 7 am.  I took Boston to pre-school & then went shipping at Hobby Lobby for a couple of hours, until it was time to pick up Boston.   He wanted to go to Panda for lunch.  We got home just in time to get him on the bus for kindergarten.  I have just been hanging out at their home for the afternoon.  I bought me a new church out fit while shopping this morning.  Fun to try it on, I'm in Trisha's closet.  She has a really nice closet.  They are wanting to sell their home and build something.  They really want us to buy their home.  I have given it serious thought today.  It is smaller, is a smaller house with a smaller yard which would be really nice.  I'm so tried of our big yard.  It would be nice to have something smaller.  Trisha's house is really nice she has added lots of nice features to their home.  Time will tell.  Went to run errands with Karlee and couldn't find my purse,  I realized I had left it at Panda while having lunch.  Heaven forbid, crazy me I'm always leaving my purse!!  Lucky when I picked it up everything was still in tact.

Sharlena's 39th Birthday

Sharlena on her birthday with her children, Cole, Aubrey, Austin & Jacob
Sharlena our oldest daughter turned 38 on Easter Sunday.   She was born the day after Easter March 27th 1978.  The years have gone by all to quickly for me.  I Cherish the years I had to raise such a special daughter that has brought so much joy to our lives.  Easter is early this year so it landed on her birthday.  Where have the years gone it's hard to believe we have a daughter that is 38 years old now.

Women's Conference Downtown

Saydee, Stacy, Karlee shopping at City Creek Mall
Girls and I all came to women's conference tonight downtown Salt Lake City.  It was very lovely to go with my daughter's and grandaughter's and feel the spiritual gathering of so many sisters in the gospel of Jesus Christ in one large congregation, to hear the words of a Prophet of the Lord. I was able to get tickets for all of us to attend women's conference, it was so special to have my three granddaughters with us this year. We met earlier at 3:30 at the Cheesecake Factory for a late lunch and then went to the conference, it started at 6 PM.   On the way to the conference center, we all had a great laugh!!   I wore my long Easter dress, I just bought from Tasha's clothing boutique, it got stuck in the escalator!! We had to hit the stop button to stop it, we tugged and pulled, my dress was not going to come out,  It was stuck bad!!  I was not going any where until someone could help release it.  The girls and I were all having a really good laugh.  I couldn't believe it had gotten so tangle up and jamming the escalator.  Finally a gentleman was able to pull my dress free.  My dress was tore up at the bottom.  We hurried off to the conference and barely seated before the conference started.  So glad I made the effort to attend.  I didn't know if I could fix  my Easter Dress for Easter Sunday.  I was able to come home late last night and cut it off and re-hem my dress and it is still plenty long.  I was able to salvage it and you would never know I got stuck in the Esculator!!

Getting Ready for Easter

Easter is early this year March 27th.   I got out my Easter decoration yesterday and spent the day decorating. I had some pretty soft, sage green fabric and made table clothes for all the tables.  I picked the fun bright yellow blooms out side and made three flower arrangements for the tables.  I bought tulips today to add from Costco.  It has all turned out so pretty.  I love the bright Easter colors.  I put a full day in working on it all.  I have three tables all set and ready to go for Easter Sunday.  I was up late till midnight finishing up.  Today I had errands.  I went to Costco to get the grocery shopping done early.  It was very crowed.  I still need to go to Walmart to get a few more things.   I finally made it to the nail salon to get my nails filled.  I'm way over due.  Excited for Easter this year.  Criag and I were both so sick last year I didn't do much for Easter.  We went to Trisha's house.  We had a great time there last year.  This year I'm excited to get my Easter decorations out

Ryan Rodgers my nephew and his family

What a wonderful experience it was to be able to take William & Elizabeth to the Provo City Center Temple dedication this morning!! The spirit was so strong that afterwards they really wanted to go to the Bountiful Temple just to touch it. We may have let them slip through the temple gates so they could go touch the temple. I hope they remember how strongly they felt the spirit during the temple dedication!

New Provo Temple Dedication Today

We didn't have our usual church meetings today.  We attended one of the three session at the stake center for the new Provo Temple,  9am, noon or 3pm.  We slept in and will not be attending the early morning session.  I was up late reading histories of my Thomas Bailes born in about 1750 and migrated to Nicholas county, Virginia in 1793.  Trying to figure out the missing pieces about his life, where he came from,  children to his family.  His wife's name unknown at this time.  Looking for clues in the histories I read late last night.  I found some good info.  I need to now compile the info I have read to a create a history about him and his family.  A fun project and time consuming.  I need to get myself ready today and feel the spirit of the Sabbath day.  Look forward to attending the dedication.  Craig & I attended the noon Provo City temple dedication today.  What honor to participate in the Hosanna Shout praise to the Lord, it was so touching, I felt the Holy Spirit so strongly a great blessing in our lives.  There are 150 temples throughout the world now and 15 under construction.  This temple make 17 temples in Utah now!!!  Wow I never dreamed we would have so many!!

First Day of Spring

Today is  Beautiful sunny day.  Spring is in the air.  The leaves are budding early this year.  We have had a warmer spring so far this year.  I'm ready for the warmer weather and spring flowers that I love.

The Ice Is Off Bear Lake

Debbie
Craig
Craig and I came to the lake this weekend just to check on things, I packed up a few things at home to get out of the house and brought them up to the lake, we thought it was going to be a lot warmer than it is, spring is not here!!  Apparently they got a big snowstorm on Monday about a foot and a half the wind was really strong and broke up the ice off the lake. It was really fun to see it all piled up high on the shoreline this year the first time the lake has froze in over five years.
An Amazing sight to see

Bike Riding

Last Thursday the weather was so pretty and warm Craig and I took a long bike ride with a couple from our temple session, The Underlin's.  We rode our bikes from Highland to the Provo Canyon, it was a 30 mile trip, Wow that is my longest bike ride ever!!  I'm so proud of myself!!  I had to take a hot bath and go to bed for the evening after our long bike ride.   I was so tired my legs felt like Jell-O!!  Look forward to more bike rides this year.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Tiffany my girlfriend for my Pageant Days, decorating so darling for this special day.  She lived in Ireland for a year this past year.  What a great idea to get Lucky Charm Cereal

Chaudhry Brother's- Landon & Jaxon

Tasha's three little kids enjoyed their treats so much from the leprechaun . we had green milk and green eggs for breakfast this morning.  I visited with LaVon and Chris before they left.  They were out the door by noon.  We all slept in until about 10 AM  from our late visit last night.  I have been so tired today I'm just dragging!! I had to help Craig get two annuity applications filled out, that was stressful.  Craig was very irritated by it all but we finally got it done.  By 2:20 pm  he hurried out the door to go to a wrestling match for Cole. I stayed home, have been working in my office clearing out paper cutter and paying bills.  It felt good to get Craig out of the house so that so I could de-stress. He  called on his way home to say that he had four tickets to the Jazz game tonight with dinner, that sounds like lots of fun but I'm just so tired I don't have the energy to even go.  He called and invited the Chaudhry boys to go, so I guess Michael, Jaxon and Cole is meeting there tonight, the boys will have fun with their grandpa.  Tasha  had to run some errands on her house, needed to pick out tile,  I babysit the kids for a few hours. I looked at my calendar and the relief society birthday party is tonight at 7 PM. I'm just too tired to go, I just want to crawl in bed!!

Tracy''s Baby Shower

The baby quilt I made for Tracy's baby turned out so darling, I'm so proud of how it turned out.   I think her little guy will love it growing up, it's soft and cuddly.  Tracy sent such a cute message to me today thanking us for our support to her shower last night.  Grandma LaVon and Aunt Chris drove up from St. George after the baby shower they came to our home to sleep over for the night, we stayed up till about 2 AM in the morning visiting with one another.  On our way home we had to stop by the grocery store to get gifts for St. Patrick's Day.  We carpooled Trisha, Natasha, Shannon, they all needed to get their leprechaun treats for their kids. It has been fun spending the evening with my girls.  I started leprechaun treats on St. Patrick's Day with them growing up as a family tradition and it's fun to see them do the same for their families growing up now.
Note from Tracy:
"What a sweet surprise to see you at my baby shower last night, I had a huge smile when you walked through the door.  I am such a lucky girl to have such amazing family in my life. It meant the world to me that you made time for me and went way out of your way to be there. I don't know how I got so lucky and I feel so loved, thank you for the beautiful baby blanket. I couldn't stop thinking about how thoughtful that was of you to make for the baby,  he's going to be one lucky little boy, I am sure that will be an instant favorite. Thank you for the sweet card and the $$$'s. Most of all I loved getting to see you and your beautiful girls there for me last night!! Please give Craig some love for me too Love You Tracy, Jason & Taydom."

Family at Tracy's baby shower, she has a great turn out

My Temple Service

Last week we serve two days at the temple, we worked a Tuesday shift for brother and sister Nelson in our ward and then Wednesday night our shift.  After my shift on Tuesday I got done at 11am so I stayed and did an endowment session at 11:30 for family names that I've been working on. I went through the endowment session for my aunt Sissy who lived to be about 103 years old.  She needs to be sealed to her parents now.  I so enjoyed standing in the prayer circle and praying for my Shannon & little baby Ashton, I  pray that miracles will happen in their lives and that little baby Ashton will be a healthy baby when she's born.  I believe that miracles do happen by serving in the temple and the angels are watching after us.   Last week in Sacrament we had a lesson about temple service and how the blessings of the temple bring great miracles to our personal lives. I have such a strong testimony for the blessings of temple service in our lives.  This week I worked the Tuesday night shift so I could attend the baby shower for Tracy.  I really do enjoy my time in the temple, I've been working hard on doing my family history work at home as well, it could consume my life,  I love it, I have to make myself quit to get other things done.

Baby Quilt For Tracy Symes

Monday night I decided to start working on a baby quilt for our niece Tracy.  Her shower is this Wednesday evening I needed to get to work. Craig dropped me off at the fabric store why he ran some errands and I spent about an hour in the fabric store finding fun things to make a baby quilt, I'm so excited to come home get started working on it.
That was my project for the last three days.  I stayed up till 2 AM Monday night getting started on it all, it's going to be so cute!!,   I really wanted to attend the shower on Wednesday which is my temple night so I traded days with sister Banks so I'm working at the temple Tuesday evening that will allow me to attend the shower on Wednesday night.

Boston 6th Birthday Party

Fasting for Baby Ashton

Shannon called Thursday after her doctor appointment.  They did a full body scan and found cyst in the brain.  They are called Choroid plexus cyst and there's 3 of them 2 on one side and 1 on the other side .  We are fasting as a family for the health of this growing baby inside Shannon.  She is very upset.  She has wanted a baby girl so badly.  Waiting 8 years since Landon was born.  We pray she can deliver a healthy baby.

Bridger and Tasha's New Home

They closed this Thursday on their new home in Pepperwood.  Now the remodeling begins.  The home was built in 1993.  They are remodeling the entire inside.  It will be a nice home for them. They are attending their new Ward today and a ward member already invited them for dinner.  The England family, Jenette and Courtney England did Tasha's flowers for her wedding.  Craig went over Saturday to help Bridger to tare out a fence and scrubs in the backyard.  They are really excited to be in their new area.  The neighbor's are really excited to have a younger family move into the ward, most families have raised their families, so the primary is small.  They are going to get lots of attention. They will be the youngest family in their new Ward. So Happy for them!!  It has been over a year process for them in finding their new home.
