Virtue Experience #3

Prepare to be worthy to enter the temple and to participate in temple ordinances. Read Alma chapter 5. Make a list of the questions Alma asks. Answer the questions for yourself, and make a list of the things you can and will do to prepare yourself to be pure and worthy to enter the temple and receive all the blessings our Heavenly Father has promised His beloved daughters.  1. Obtain remembrance of our many blessing from our Heavenly Father.  Keeping a journal helps me to remember the blessing and guidance in my life from my Heavenly Father.  2.  souls illuminated by the light of the everlasting word;  Study the word of God for light and truth and direction. In my life. Alma 5: 10 And now I ask of you on what conditions are they saved? Yea, what grounds had they to hope for salvation? What is the cause of their being loosed from the bands of death, yea, and also the chains of hell? ...his faith there was a mighty change wrought in his heart.... there needs to be a change in our hearts to want to love and serve the Lord’s Always, a total commitment of our time and energy in building the kingdom of God in the earth.  No desire to do evil.   4.  humbled themselves and put their trust in the true and living God. And behold, they were faithful until the end; therefore they were saved.  5.  have ye spiritually been born of God? Have ye received his image in your countenances? Have ye experienced this mighty change in your hearts?  Yes I have but it takes a constant effort to endure to the end and always be faithful.  6.-  15 Do ye exercise faith in the redemption of him who created you? Do you look forward with an eye of faith, and view this mortal body raised in immortality, and this corruption raised in incorruption, to stand before God to be judged according to the deeds which have been done in the mortal body?  We will be judge according to our works in this mortal life,  I’m striving to always do good and have the light of Christ with me.  7.  16 I say unto you, can you imagine to yourselves that ye hear the voice of the Lord, saying unto you, in that day: Come unto me ye blessed, for behold, your works have been the works of righteousness upon the face of the earth?  I look so forward to seeing my Savior and Heavenly Father ...8.   19 I say unto you, can ye look up to God at that day with a pure heart and clean hands? I say unto you, can you look up, having the image of God engraven upon your countenances?  I’m striving to have the Lords countenances shine in my life, love for all people.  The gift of Charity!! Being clean and pure in all aspect of my life to return to my Heavenly home 

9. there can no man be saved except his garments are washed white; yea, his garments must be purified until they are cleansed from all stain, through the blood of him of whom it has been spoken by our fathers, who should come to redeem his people from their sins.  Strive to repent of my sins daily. 10. Could ye say, if ye were called to die at this time, within yourselves, that ye have been sufficiently humble? That your garments have been cleansed and made white through the blood of Christ,  so grateful for my temple blessing wash clean and pure and continue in the pathway of keeping my covenants, staying on the covenant path.... 11.  Need to be stripped of Pride,  I’m sure I still need to work on not being pridefull ,  just as I think I’m not prideful and then Pride can sneaks.  This is a constant battle in the Book of Mormon.  12.  35 Yea, come unto me and bring forth works of righteousness, and ye shall not be hewn down and cast into the fire--  I need to live my life works of righteousness.  Which I’m striving to do !! 13. For I say unto you that whatsoever is good cometh from God, and whatsoever is evil cometh from the devil....14-Yea, will ye persist in supposing that ye are better one than another; 15.-Yea, and will you persist in turning your backs upon the poor, and the needy, and in withholding your substance from them?  We are to care for one another psyically and spiritually.  16.- For the names of the righteous shall be written in the book of life, and unto them will I grant an inheritance at my right hand.  Names written in the temple ordinances of the temple, so important in going to the temple and serving in the temple. 17- Alma 5:62 62 I speak by way of command unto you that belong to the church; and unto those who do not belong to the church I speak by way of invitation, saying: Come and be baptized unto repentance, that ye also may be partakers of the fruit of the tree of life.

Virtue experience #2

Virtuous living “at all times and in all things, and in all places” qualifies you for the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost. When you are baptized and confirmed, you are given the gift of the Holy Ghost to guide all aspects of your life. Since the Holy Ghost does not dwell in unclean tabernacles, living a virtuous life is a prerequisite to having the companionship of the Holy Ghost and receiving the blessings of temple ordinances. Read the following scripture references and identify the promised blessings: John 14:26–27; 15:26; 2 Nephi 32:1–5; and Doctrine and Covenants 45:57–59; 88:3–4; 121:45–46. In your journal record what you have learned, and write about a time when you felt the guidance of the Holy Ghost...  I have felt the guidance of the Holy Ghost over my 61 years of thus mortal life on many many occasions.  I’m striving daily to have this companionship in my life.  I’m so grateful for the gift of the Holy Ghost and prayer to daily strive to live my life so that Im worthy to have the companionship of the Holy Ghost.   I have felt the Holy Ghost when Ibferl sad and depressed at times in my life that has lifted me out of my sorrow.  I have felt the spirit when in the hospital from illnes, giving birth to each of our children, when we were sealed in the temple.  Praying to my Heavenly Father for guidance in my life. Praying for my children when they are sick, praying for my marriage and guidance as to what to do.  Praying for inspiration in serving in my callings,  praying for finding my ancestors and preparing their names for the temple.  Praying for the challenges Inga was ve had to deal with over the years, praying for answers when I have had questions, reading in the scriptures,  watching conference and listening to their mrasssges to me from the Holy Ghost,,  hearing the still small voice, feeling a burning in my chest knowing the scriptures are true.  John 14:26 ​But the ​​​Comforter​, ​which is​ the ​​​Holy Ghost​, whom the Father will send in my ​​​name​, he shall ​​​teach​ you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 

​​​27 ​​​​Peace​ I leave with you, my ​​​peace​ I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be ​​​troubled​, neither let it be afraid.... 1 ​And now, behold, my beloved brethren, I suppose that ye ponder somewhat in your hearts concerning that which ye should do after ye have entered in by the way. But, behold, why do ye ponder these things in your hearts?

22Nephi 3​​​2 ​2-5 vs2  Do ye not remember that I said unto you that after ye had ​​​received​ the Holy Ghost ye could speak with the ​​​tongue​ of angels? And now, how could ye speak with the tongue of angels save it were by the Holy Ghost?

​​​3 ​​​​Angels​ speak by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore, they speak the words of Christ. Wherefore, I said unto you, ​​​feast​ upon the ​​​words​ of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will ​​​tell​ you all things what ye should do.

​​​4 ​Wherefore, now after I have spoken these words, if ye cannot understand them it will be because ye ​​​ask​ not, neither do ye knock; wherefore, ye are not brought into the light, but must perish in the dark.

​​​5 ​For behold, again I say unto you that if ye will enter in by the way, and receive the Holy Ghost, it will ​​​show​ unto you all things what ye should do.  ( love these scriptures they are very powerful in teaching to read the words of Christ and the Holy Ghost will give us guidance. ) ...D&C 45:57 ​For they that are wise and have received the ​​​truth​, and have taken the Holy Spirit for their ​​​guide​, and have not been deceived—verily I say unto you, they shall not be hewn down and cast into the ​​​fire​, but shall abide the day.

​​​58 ​And the ​​​earth​ shall be given unto them for an ​​​inheritance​; and they shall ​​​multiply​ and wax strong, and their ​​​children​ shall ​​​grow up​ without ​​​sin​ unto ​​​salvation​.

​​​59 ​For the Lord shall be in their ​​​midst​, and his ​​​glory​ shall be upon them, and he will be their ​​​king​ and their ​​​lawgiver​.

D&C 88: 3-4 “ ​Wherefore, I now send upon you another ​​​Comforter​, even upon you my friends, that it may abide in your hearts, even the Holy Spirit of ​​​promise​; which other Comforter is the same that I promised unto my disciples, as is recorded in the testimony of John.

​​​4 ​This Comforter is the ​​​promise​ which I give unto you of ​​​eternal life​, even the ​​​glory​ of the celestial kingdom;

D& C 121: 45 ​Let thy ​​​bowels​ also be full of charity towards all men, and to the ​​household of faith, and let ​​​virtue​ garnish thy thoughts unceasingly; then shall thy ​​​confidence​ wax strong in the ​​​presence​ of God; and the doctrine of the priesthood shall distil upon thy soul as the ​​​dews​ from heaven.

​​​46 ​The Holy Ghost shall be thy constant ​​​companion​, and thy scepter an unchanging scepter of ​​​righteousness​ and truth; and thy ​​​dominion​ shall be an everlasting dominion, and without compulsory means it shall flow unto thee forever and ever.  

1.  The Holy gives me Peace in my life. 

2. Is a comforter in my life.

3. Holy will teach me all things. My guide in this life.  Will help me to discern correct teaching and what is flash teaching too.  Discern what is not from God.  

4. Witness of Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. 

5. Have the insight to follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost. 

6 following the Holy Ghost leads me back to my eternal home a place in the celestial kingdom.   

Virtue

Our young women’s lesson today was on the personal progress Value Virtue. Elise my secretary taught a wonderful lesson.  Wished we could have had more girls attend this week, we only had 3 there today.  This is a lesson we need to talk more about.  My maids and Laurels need to hear this message as they are at such a critical stage in their lives that will effect the entire future of their lives by the choices they make at this season in their lives.  I’m learning so much from serving in  women’s, the lessons are such a good reminder to me to do better, I’m so blessed to have this apart of my life at this season.  Working on completing my Virtue Experiences.  # 1. Virtue is a pattern of thought and behavior based on high moral standards. It includes chastity and purity. The power to create mortal life is an exalted power God has given His children. He has commanded that this power be used only between a man and a woman, lawfully wedded as husband and wife. Study the meaning and importance of chastity and virtue by reading Jacob 2:28; “The Family: A Proclamation to the World” (see page 101); and the section on sexual purity in For the Strength of Youth. Also read Article of Faith number thirteen and Proverbs 31:10–31. In your journal write the promised blessings of being sexually clean and pure and your commitment to be chaste. 

Jacob 2:28 28 ​For I, the Lord God, delight in the ​​​chastity​ of women. And ​​​whoredoms​ are an abomination before me; thus saith the Lord of Hosts.

The Family -A Proclamation to the World-The First Presidency and Council of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints...We, the First Presidency and the Council of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, solemnly proclaim that marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God and that the family is central to the Creator’s plan for the eternal destiny of His children.

All human beings--male and female--are created in the image of God. Each is a beloved spirit son or daughter of heavenly parents, and, as such, each has a divine nature and destiny. Gender is an essential characteristic of individual premortal, mortal, and eternal identity and purpose.

In the premortal realm, spirit sons and daughters knew and worshipped God as their Eternal Father and accepted His plan by which His children could obtain a physical body and gain earthly experience to progress toward perfection and ultimately realize their divine destiny as heirs of eternal life. The divine plan of happiness enables family relationships to be perpetuated beyond the grave. Sacred ordinances and covenants available in holy temples make it possible for individuals to return to the presence of God and for families to be united eternally....The first commandment that God gave to Adam and Eve pertained to their potential for parenthood as husband and wife. We declare that God’s commandment for His children to multiply and replenish the earth remains in force. We further declare that God has commanded that the sacred powers of procreation are to be employed only between man and woman, lawfully wedded as husband and wife...We declare the means by which mortal life is created to be divinely appointed. We affirm the sanctity of life and of its importance in God’s eternal plan....Husband and wife have a solemn responsibility to love and care for each other and for their children. “Children are an heritage of the Lord” (Psalm 127:3). Parents have a sacred duty to rear their children in love and righteousness, to provide for their physical and spiritual needs, and to teach them to love and serve one another, observe the commandments of God, and be law-abiding citizens wherever they live. Husbands and wives--mothers and fathers--will be held accountable before God for the discharge of these obligations.....The family is ordained of God. Marriage between man and woman is essential to His eternal plan. Children are entitled to birth within the bonds of matrimony, and to be reared by a father and a mother who honor marital vows with complete fidelity. Extended families should lend support when needed....We warn that individuals who violate covenants of chastity, who abuse spouse or offspring, or who fail to fulfill family responsibilities will one day stand accountable before God. Further, we warn that the disintegration of the family will bring upon individuals, communities, and nations the calamities foretold by ancient and modern prophets....We call upon responsible citizens and officers of government everywhere to promote those measures designed to maintain and strengthen the family as the fundamental unit of society.....This proclamation was read by President Gordon B. Hinckley as part of his message at the General Relief Society Meeting held September 23, 1995, in Salt Lake City, Utah.  ( this a powerful meessage to the world and members of the church.  So grateful for the guidance when our world around us has so many voices contrary to this message from the prophet..  it has been been 23 years since this was proclaimed to the world.  I can see where our world is growing ingreter sins and from away the values of chasity and family life.  So many youth now are just living together before marriage and having children.  There are more and more accepting same Gender marriage, which goes against our Heavenly Fathers plan.  We live in so many challenges that are contrary to this message.  It is even more difficult when I see children of my friends that have grow up with my children choosing to marry the same gender.  It is heart breaking to me!! Thankful for this message of guidance in a very challenging world of change from the family values I have been raised with.  I know this is from Heavenly Father to live a chaste life and honor family life in the bonds of marriage to a man and women.  Honoring our gender in family life and teaching the importance of this gender when the world says a different standard...Sexual Purity The sacred powers of procreation are to be employed only between man and woman, lawfully wedded as husband and wife...“The Family: A Proclamation to the World”..Physical intimacy between husband and wife is beautiful and sacred. It is ordained of God for the creation of children and for the expression of love between husband and wife. God has commanded that sexual intimacy be reserved for marriage...When you are sexually pure, you prepare yourself to make and keep sacred covenants in the temple. You prepare yourself to build a strong marriage and to bring children into the world as part of an eternal and loving family. You protect yourself from the spiritual and emotional damage that come from sharing sexual intimacy outside of marriage. You also protect yourself from harmful diseases. Remaining sexually pure helps you to be confident and truly happy and improves your ability to make good decisions now and in the future.

The Lord’s standard regarding sexual purity is clear and unchanging. Do not have any sexual relations before marriage, and be completely faithful to your spouse after marriage. Do not allow the media, your peers, or others to persuade you that sexual intimacy before marriage is acceptable. It is not. In God’s sight, sexual sins are extremely serious. They defile the sacred power God has given us to create life. The prophet Alma taught that sexual sins are more serious than any other sins except murder or denying the Holy Ghost (see Alma 39:5).Never do anything that could lead to sexual transgression. Treat others with respect, not as objects used to satisfy lustful and selfish desires. Before marriage, do not participate in passionate kissing, lie on top of another person, or touch the private, sacred parts of another person’s body, with or without clothing. Do not do anything else that arouses sexual feelings. Do not arouse those emotions in your own body. Pay attention to the promptings of the Spirit so that you can be clean and virtuous. The Spirit of the Lord will withdraw from one who is in sexual transgression.

Avoid situations that invite increased temptation, such as late-night or overnight activities away from home or activities where there is a lack of adult supervision. Do not participate in discussions or any media that arouse sexual feelings. Do not participate in any type of pornography. The Spirit can help you know when you are at risk and give you the strength to remove yourself from the situation. Have faith in and be obedient to the righteous counsel of your parents and leaders.

Homosexual and lesbian behavior is a serious sin. If you find yourself struggling with same-gender attraction or you are being persuaded to participate in inappropriate behavior, seek counsel from your parents and bishop. They will help you....Victims of sexual abuse are not guilty of sin and do not need to repent. If you have been a victim of abuse, know that you are innocent and that God loves you. Talk to your parents or another trusted adult, and seek your bishop’s counsel immediately. They can support you spiritually and assist you in getting the protection and help you need. The process of healing may take time. Trust in the Savior. He will heal you and give you peace...If you are tempted to commit any form of sexual transgression, seek help from your parents and bishop. Pray to your Father in Heaven, who will help you resist temptation and overcome inappropriate thoughts and feelings. If you have committed sexual transgression, talk to your bishop now and begin the process of repentance so that you can find peace and have the full companionship of the Spirit.Make a personal commitment to be sexually pure. By your words and actions, encourage others to do the same....( the message in the strength for youth is spelled out about the proper sexual behavior.  It is a great guide to how to live my life even as an adult.  Sexual purity is a challenge to not look at pornography,  it is unclean sexual behavior and is looking at our bodies as an object fulfilling base desires and is not in accordance with the lord’s plan.  In know this is a fine balance in our marriage to not allow this behavior even when it is tempting to supposeably enhance our sexual experience as a couple. We need to strive as a couple to be sexually pure in our actions.)  D&C 38: 42 ​And go ye ​​​out​ from among the ​​​wicked​. Save yourselves. Be ye ​​​clean​ that bear the vessels of the Lord. Even so. Amen.

Article of Faith # 13-13 We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul--We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things..  ( I have memorized this 13th article which has been one of my very favorites since I was a teenager. And has been great strength to me in my life over the years.  I have loved singing a song about the 13th article. “We seek after these things” ...

Love Proverbs 31: 10-31 message.10 ​​¶ ​Who can find a ​​​virtuous​ ​​​woman​? for her price ​is​ far above rubies..25 ​Strength and honour ​are​ her ​​​clothing​; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

​​​26 ​She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue ​is​ the law of ​​​kindness​.

​​​27 ​She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of ​​​idleness​.

​​​28 ​Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband ​also,​ and he praiseth her.

​​​29 ​Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.

​​​30 ​Favour ​is​ deceitful, and ​​​beauty​ ​is​ vain: ​but​ a woman ​that​ ​​​feareth the ​​Lord​​​, she shall be praised.

​​​31 ​Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.( by our works we shall be an example to other and be judge by the Lord how we live our lives on the earth.  

Do I understand why sexual purity is essential to being truly happy?  Purity in all things is the key to our Eternal Home !!! 

Personal Revelations

Preparing for personal revelations D&C 8:2.-   2 Yea, behold, I will tell you in your mind and in your heart, by the Holy Ghost, which shall come upon you and which shall dwell in your heart. preparing to listen to general conference...Revelation for the Church, Revelation for Our Lives By President Russell M. Nelson..  In coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost.  James Martino prayed how he received the gospel... Love the Martino family in Denton, Texas when I was baptized.   Story told in sacrament talk today.  3 Nephi 12:2 personal revelation...2 And again, more blessed are they who shall believe in your words because that ye shall testify that ye have seen me, and that ye know that I am. Yea, blessed are they who shall believe in your words, and come down into the depths of humility and be baptized, for they shall be visited with fire and with the Holy Ghost, and shall receive a remission of their sins.... go and pray to see what the Lord would have us do ?  prayer, fasting and questions inspire personal revelation.  James 1:5 5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.  Joseph smith went to the grove of trees to pray for answers.  Santa comes to fight against our personal revelation.    Fasting Christ fast 40 days... we can have greater revelation as we fast to bring the Holy Ghost and fire in our lives.. high council brother Huefner speaking today, his son just gave such a great talk...  brother  Huefner - what does the Lord have in mind for us?  Isaiah   55:8-9 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.   Jacob 4:8 Wherefore, we search the prophets, and we have many revelations and the spirit of prophecy; and having all these witnesses we obtain a hope, and our faith becometh unshaken, insomuch that we truly can command in the name of Jesus and the very trees obey us, or the mountains, or the waves of the sea.

12 And it may suffice if I only say they are preserved for a wise purpose, which purpose is known unto God; for he doth counsel in wisdom over all his works, and his paths are straight, and his course is one eternal round.

Alma 37: teaching their son about personal revelation — 13 O remember, remember, my son Helaman, how strict are the commandments of God. And he said: If ye will keep my commandments ye shall prosper in the land--but if ye keep not his commandments ye shall be cut off from his presence.... favorite scripture MOUNTIAN of the Lords- Isaiah 2:2-3 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem...  church history stories.. blessing of our lives thru the prophet Joseph Smith.  Prepare for general conference coming up in October,  apply the scriptures to ur own lives and take the time to apply the principles,  read the Book of Momon daily to seek the will of the Lord to alingn our lives with the will of the Lord... great messages

Working On Young Women’s in Excellance

Wednesday after I dropped Stacy off at the airport I stopped in Bringham City and shopped at Walmart for a few new clothes.  I then stopped 45 minutes drive at Logan on my way home.  I spent several hours at Hobby Lobby working on things for young women’s in  excellence.  It s not until November, but it will come fast.  I was excited with all the things I found that I wanted to come home and create what was in my head.  We are doing the theme by small and simple things we accomplish that which is great.  I spent all day Thursday working on the display.  It is going to be really pretty.  Craig took this picture of me working.  Teasing me that our counter looks like his mothers kitchen counter.  I wore myself out working on it all I gathered up all the glass jars I have and things around the house to create the displays for the perverse value themes.

Learn a new skill or talent that will help you care for your own future family or home (for example, playing the piano, singing, budgeting, time management, cooking, sewing, or child care). Share with your family, class, or Young Women leader what you have learned.

Personal Progress

Value knowledge #1 - Learn about the importance of gaining knowledge by reading Proverbs 1:5; 4:7; 2 Nephi 28:30; and Doctrine and Covenants 88:78–80, 118; 90:15; 130:18–19; 131:6. Think about why you need to gain knowledge and understanding about how to apply gospel principles to your present and future home and family life. Write in your journal what you have learned about knowledge, and discuss it with a family member or Young Women leader.  I have sent this to aly my oldest Laurel trying to help Motivate her to work on her pp.  I’m working long with her.  My favorite scripture from the listed reading is 18 Whatever principle of intelligence we attain unto in this life, it will rise with us in the resurrection. D &C 130:19 And if a person gains more knowledge and intelligence in this life through his diligence and obedience than another, he will have so much the advantage in the world to come. Learning gospel principles gives us more wisdom and teaches the correct path to follow in this mortal life.  I love the phrase “the glory of God is intelligent” gaining knowledge is all we can take with us when we leave this mortal world.  

Shannon’s journey

Shannon has been soul-searching and entering a new phase of her life.  I have been worried about her.  She has been calling me for the last three weeks and we talk for long hours on the phone.  She has had some very unusual experiences going on.  Talking about orbs of light she is finding in their family pictures. I told her the Lord is letting her know that she has guardian angels looking after her and her family.  She has questions about a lot of the gospel principles and has not been active in the church for many years.  They have been working towards getting Landon baptized he completed the missionary discussions recently.  Just waiting for Ryan to meet with the bishop to see what he needs to do to prepare in order to baptize Landon.  When I talked to Shannon on Wednesday night she was telling me about the unusual experience she had and how she felt her body overcome by an unknown presence.  She has had some unusual experiences and I have been concerned.  I told her that there are evil spirits and she needs to be careful.  As we were talking on the phone Wednesday night things that she was expressing I told her were not right, I felt it was not a good presence she needed to get a priesthood blessing and have her home dedicated against evil spirits.  Ryan told her she was way overreacting, I was getting frustrated with her.  She just wanted Buck to come give her a blessing, In talking to Buck, he said that she should Talk to Bishop,  we ended our conversationI I said my nightly prayer for her and her family and that they would be protected forces of evil.  After visiting with Trisha on Thursday I headed out to visit with Shannon and their family.  Shannon told me after our conversation that things got worse she felt this overwhelming evil come over, She could hardly think, she knew she had to have a priesthood blessing, it was 1 AM in the morning and finding someone to give her a blessing she could hardly think who to contact.  She did get a hold of their ward mission leader and he sent someone over in the wee morning hours.  She proceeds to tells me that the next day the sister missionaries stop by to visit with her.  She told them she felt like she was going crazy and shared her experience from the night before.  The sisters told her not to be alarmed they could relate to what she was saying.  They told her that they have had unusual things happening in their apartment, Cupboard shutting and Noisey things happening that were strange in their apartment.  They called their Mission president and he came over and told them that they did have an evil spirits in their apartment and they needed to be cast out.  This was very alarming to them and they are sister missionaries doing the work of the Lord 24 seven how can this happen?  Just help Shannon to feel better and starting to understand the difference between good and evil in our lives.  The sisters promise to come back later in the evening with the elders to dedicate their home and to bless the inner walls of their home to have the Holy Spirit.  I was able to be there when the elders came over and the sister missionaries. we knelt in family prayer and dedicated their home to the work of the Lord.   They were giving counsel that they needed to strive to live the commandments,to pray and read the Scriptures together as a family in order to have a good spirit in their home. This had been a wake up call for the Chaudhry family,  hopefully they will strive to do better and in spiritually strengthening one another in their home.  In reading in the Saints history just out by the church, I ran across quotes about the evil influences and I thought very interesting.  Angel Moroni speaking ““Now, Joseph, beware,” he said. “When you go to get the plates, your mind will be filled with darkness, and all manner of evil will rush into your mind to prevent you from keeping the commandments of God.”...“Look,” Moroni commanded. Another vision unfolded before Joseph, and he saw Satan surrounded by his numberless host. “All this is shown, the good and the evil, the holy and impure, the glory of God and the power of darkness,” the angel declared, “that you may know hereafter the two powers and never be influenced or overcome by that wicked one.”He instructed Joseph to purify his heart and strengthen his mind to receive the record. “If ever these sacred things are obtained they must be by prayer and faithfulness in obeying the Lord,” Moroni explained. “They are not deposited here for the sake of accumulating gain and wealth for the glory of this world. They were sealed by the prayer of faith.”  Shannon has been on this amazing spiritual journey the past three weeks,  She is seeing spirits here are a few pictures. This picture looking closely you can see several spirit forms and an old lady sitting on her couch!   She calls this her light healing that has taken place for several weeks around 3:30 each day.  

My Doctor Appointments

I scheduled several doctors appointments this week first one was 1 PM Balance Body to have my blood work drawn for my hormone pellet.  I needed to be on the road by 10:30 AM.   I can I got up at seven and play pickle ball for about an hour and a half before I left we have enjoyed playing pickle ball together my darn foot is hurting I am seeing a foot doctor on Friday.  I have my teeth cleaned at 2 PM on Wednesday and then the rest of the day I ran several errands I had to take Craigs light back-that was not working to Shopko, I didn’t enjoy shopping around went to Ross and looked at autumn decorations on a really fun witch for Halloween to hang in the trees and if you autumn decorations.  Autumn is my favorite times of the year.  I love the fall colors excited to come back home and decorate the cabin for autumn time. I have lots of autumn decorations I don’t need to be buying anything else but I sure like to look.  Was able to stop in to bed Bath and body to get some lotion that smells so yummy!! By 645 I was tired so I decided to go to a movie by myself right next to the District theaters.  Saw the movie crazy Rich Asians.  It was a really funny movie I greatly enjoyed it I have not been to a movie for over six months it was fun to go!! I was heading back to sleep over at Natasha’s house when Shannon called, I sat in the church parking lot talking to her for almost 2 hours before I crawled in bed.  Our conversation was quite disturbing. Thursday morning I had an 11 AM doctors appointment with Dr. Bindrup thinking about getting a tummy tuck and a new augmentation with a breast lift.  It’s going to cost cost $15,000 not cheap.  I have been wanting to get it done I’m just going to check and I saw the pain that Trisha went through on her tummy tuck and it has scared me.  But I am feeling more brave now I can do this I just want to lose 15 to 20 pounds for I have the surgery.  Thinking about having it done in January 2019.  There’s just too much happening in the fall to take six weeks time off.  I then spent the rest of the afternoon with Trisha she went to her house plans with me and we went and looked at her a lot and had a nice lunch together,  I love my two girls so much she’s such a good friend to me we enjoy each others company.  Friday I had a follow up appointment at Balance Body for my hormone pellet and then I met with Dr. Graff for my aching foot.  I do have planter fasciitis in my left heel.  He says I had a lot of inflammation and he gave me a steroid shot it really hurt!!! Told me I need to lay off on my foot for about a month and let it heal!! This week is able to get several of my doctors appointments and to take care of myself.  

Pinewood Derby

Chloe Negus and Rose my 1st counselor planned a Pinewood derby activity with the 2 Ward combined, we had 23 young women attend tonight.  It was a lot of  work for me in the end.  When Rose and Chloe planned this activity  I told them I had never been to one, I was going to just let them take charge and I was going to just show up.  Well Friday Craig told me I better find out what is going on it is a big deal.!! I called Rose she was really frustrated because Chloe had not showed up for their meetings this past week.  She had not done anything yet. There was the track to set up and someone to run the electronics of all the races.  I was clueless as to how a Pinewood derby ran.  I was told that Chuck and Joey stocking were running it all.  Come to find out on Friday Joey knew nothing about it.   Chuck was not wanting to do it he had just got hurt in Labor Day with cracked ribs, plus his daughter was In the race and wanted to spend time with her.  Rose related the info back to Chloe,  I felt I needed to talk to Chloe’s mother to make sure they were aware of the event and how much work required.  I had to get online and learn about how a Pinewood derby ran.   It has been a new learning experience for me.  I have never had any boy to participate in.  Chole was suppose to have gotten the girls their cars months ago, Saturday I called around to find out that   6 of our girls did not have their cars.  Which was very disappointing to me.  I was heading to Logan shopping for candy to make candy cars.  Look for decoration for the party.  Chloe did not want to decorate which I told her that was the fun part.  I told her the second ward would help and she didn’t have to worry about it.  All said and done I was able to smooth things out and it was a great turn out despite the challenges we had.  It turns out to be a fun night for everyone. 

Youth broadcast

Today happy birthday to our Prophet 94 years old. September 9th 2018.   This broadcast was about the new church history book Saints that the church had published.  The setting was lovely at the steps of the Navuoo Temple.  I have enjoyed reading the first few chapters and listening to the podcast on my phone while I drove to Salt Lake.   It is an exciting history account about the restoration of the church in these lattrer days.  Fun to hear stories about church history Inhave joy heard before and gives new insights about the growth of the church.  After the broad cast we had our presidency meeting.  We invited brother Menlove our 1st Counsler.  He had great insight for us in disscussing how to approach personal purity in sexual behavior among the young women.  A subject that they are curious about and needs to be taught in a proper manner.  I had a full day of church service.  In made the rounds in visiting.  Stopped by to thank Pat Argyle for such and awesome girls camp.  Visited with Jazzy our newest beehive,  stopped to visit with Jesalyn who broke her jaw and it is wired shut. From there went to visit sister Mellor one of my VT sisters.  I then stopped to visit with Chloe in planning our Pinewood derby.   It was an awesome activity.!” 

Uncle Gordan Larsen’s Funeral

Saturday morning we attended uncle Gordon‘s funeral.   He lived to be 94 years old.   He is married to Ramona Symes, Craig’s dad, one of his sisters. It was a very nice funeral they had 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.  I want to visit with extended family that gathered for the funeral.  We’re all getting older lots of gray haired cousins.  Uncle Gordon retired as an airline pilot for American Airlines, He also was a war-warll fighter jet pilot, it was fun to learn about his life.  Craig has a blessed heritage I have enjoyed being a part of his family over the years.  

Labor Day

This is the first Labor Day we have not any family here this year!! The weather is cooling off, Fall is arriving !! I love the Fall seaso,  I love the Autumn leave colors,  it seems to happen all to fast every year !! I feel a calmness in the air and the cooler morning air.  Craig does want to our boat in today. It will be fun for us to go out by ourselves we have not done that all summer this year.  It is always sad to have it come to an end, all to fast.  Summer is such a short seasons only about 6weeks of the nice warm weather.  It was a hot summer this year in the valley but perfect here at the lake.  With school starting back up everyone is busy with their families.  By Labor Day I do have to say I’m burned out with all the summer families activity.  It is nice to have things slow down for us.  We are enjoying the beautiful weather while it last.  I’m enjoying sitting out on the porch sailing up the sunshine.  We are very blessed to have property on the lake.  It is rare in Utah.  There are only two lakes in the State that allow homes to be built on the lake shore line.  Beat lake is one of the two, Utah lake is the other.  Utah lake is very shallow and not a very pretty lake.  Bear is the perfect boating lake with the beautiful turquoise blue water It was fun driving in from Salt yesterday monrnibg to see the beautiful lake.  There were lots of people out on a Sunday enjoying the last little bit of summer.  We live at the northern part of the Lake and it is not as crowed.  Mostly just the families lake home owners.  We had a very nice family gathering with the Biesinger’s cousins for our Annual end of the summer bar-b-que dinner,  fun to visit with them all and get bought up on the growth of our families.   There is a new rising generation, we are the grandparents now. We had lots of yummy food to eat.  When I got back from Salt lake I had to take a nap, I wasn’t feeling well Inhave a terrible pain under my tights ribs.  I felt bad missing church.  My Dear husband was conducting sacrament withnit being a new month.  I wanted to visit with the Chaudhry family,  I was missing baby Ashtyn.  I just wanted to hold her.  Shannon and I talked the evening Away.  It was midnight I was to tired to drive home the three hour drive so I slept over.  I made the rounds visiting my girls and the grandkids.  We went and watched Lincoln play football Saturday morning.  He loves football.  Our grandkids are all growing up too fast.  Little Annie was so darling she had to sleep with us on Thursday night, she cuddled right next to Craig and slep by him all night.  We have darling grand kids.
