The kids are out of school today with a quarter break. Craig and I have a Temple session this afternoon to attend in Orem for Heidi Cluff one of our young single adult sister’s received her mission call and asked us to attend her temple endowment session at 4:30pm today- Lincoln will have to take charge for a few hours while we are gone. The weather is so nice today. It feels like a spring day. Bridger sent us a picture where they are located on a world map. They are far south in South America-

the blue dot shows their location.

Baby Sitting Thomas Grandkids / colonoscopy

Craig and I started our babysitting shift Tuesday afternoon at 5pm and will be staying there until March 4th. The month of Feb went by really fast for us. The kids are out of school on Friday with a semester break- we will have to find something to do. Adi their nanny is helping on Tuesday and Thursday’s- which gives me a break to rest. I should have taken a before picture- their driveway was pilled high with boxes and garbage. Tasha worked hard the two weeks she was home cleaning things and making her throw away piles on the driveway. They were going to hired someone to come pick it up. I sent her this picture this morning the driveway is all clean. I cut up all the boxes and placed in their recycling bin. It was my morning chore. Adi took Coco for the day which frees up my day. I’m really tired from my colonoscopy procedure on Wednesday. I had to do my clean out Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning. My last meal was on Monday evening- just a liquid diet on Tuesday and Wednesday- my appointment was at 12:45 pm- Adi filled in until we could arrive. She stayed till 7pm and let me rest. I had to sleep off the anesthetic in my system. Today I just feel kinda like a hangover, not real energetic, but I did get the driveway cleared off. That was a big chore-back to our Draper house for the day to rest - I finished decorating my Saint Patrick’s tree this year, a first time decor idea for me -it turned out so fun. I love the holidays and rotating my holiday decor from Valentines in Feb to St Patrick’s in March. I’m all ready for a party this year if I can find the time to host. It is fun to do something new decorating ideas-

Back At The Lake

Craig is speaking today in the visitors branch- he was asked to be a companion speaker with our Stake High councilman Kit Anderson. We made our way back to the lake last Saturday Feb 15th after our two week shift of babysitting the Thomas grandkids while their parents were in Tokyo, Japan. When we’re arrive at the lake we had about a foot of snow on our Driveway- we had to work on clearing half off before we could get into the house. I had to rest after shoveling snow. My back just gives out on me. Still not feeling the best yet. I had planned to make banana bread for our YSA linger longer after church on Sunday. It was about 8pm before I felt well enough to tackle it. I was in the middle of making the batter when Craig said we had to leave now to take him to the ER his blood pressure was way to high 195/90- he was not feeling well and had heart attach symptoms. With us an hour away from the nearest hospital we didn’t have any time to waste. I had to just leave the batter on the counter and out the door we went- luckily the roads were clear of snow driving through Logan Canyon. I called Karen Barlow one of our YSA sisters and she came and got the batter to bake for me. I didn’t know when we would be home. She is a sweet heart to get it done and ready for me to pick up Sunday morning for church. They were able to get us in fast at the hospital and the blood test results came back fast. Everything was ok and no symptoms of a heart attack. I think he just over did it clearing the snow off our driveway. We have had many so many trips to the ER the past few years- so thankful Craig is ok- just don’t understand why his blood pressure spikes suddenly. We have been trying to figure it out- it goes from being to low, to too high at stoke level. With us living so far from the hospital we don’t hesitate for him to be checked out. We arrived home safely by midnight. I was beat and ready for bed. We woke up to another snow storm leaving about 6 inches on the driveway. We had to clear one side of the driveway way again so we could get out for our church meetings. I enjoyed our Church meetings. It had felt like I had been gone a long time and felt good to be back at our lake home. Things felt dirty to and I spent the week cleaning and putting some of my winter decorations away. We had another snow storm rolling in on Monday. We have lots of snow at the lake now. It had been slow coming this year but looks like we have plenty now. We enjoyed playing Pickelball three days Monday, Tuesday and Thursday this week in the mornings from 9am till noon. I’m always tired when we arrive home I have to rest and take a Power Nap watching the afternoon news. Its exciting to watch all the changes President Trump and his team are doing. Each day is an new adventure to see unfold. I mange to give things a good cleaning on the main level and decorate for St Patrick’s day this year- I ordered some fun things online to add to my St Patrick’s Day decor- it felt good to declutter things and add some green color- saying good bye to all my red accents for now. I busy all week long. Saturday I had to prepare for our linger longer meal after church on Sunday- I made 2 pans of peach crisp with the peaches I canned last year- it turned out yummy. I cooked noodles and warmed up the chicken carbonara left over from our Christmas dinner. It made a great left over meal, serving it with a green salad and garlic bread. Everyone loved our dinner. Craig and were tired after our church meetings- it is a lot of work for me preparing a meal and then hauling dishes home to wash. Monday tidy things up and made our way down to Draper - I’m starting another week baby sitting shift for the Thomas grandkids while their parents go to Chlil- I will have watched them three weeks the Month of Feb.

Winn’s Basketball Game

We just arrived on time for Winn to play his basketball game. We literally rolled out of bed to make his 11am game. We weren’t sure where to go- I took him to Union Middle School where he played last Saturday and it is was the right location. Craig took him last week it was an early game 8:am- we were up late last night till 2am before I was finally able to get Lincoln back in the house and to bed. I’m really tired- going to need an afternoon nap- Go Winn

Happy Valentines Day

We are enjoying our Valentine’s Day together this year. We woke up about 8am and out the door to play Pickelball for a couple of hours. Came home to clean up and went to lunch at Olive Garden. We had a yummy meal and shared a chocolate cheese cake. We sent Valentine text messages to our 20 grandchildren, five daughters and 5 son-in-laws. I’m waiting in the car enjoying the sunshine this afternoon while Craig picks up some Valentine flowers for me. It is a nice day after a huge snow storm yesterday afternoon that hit hard and fast. We got stuck in terrible traffic on our way home from playing Pickelball with Mike and Jody Farley. We had a nice lunch together and headed home. The snow started falling and the traffic backed up fast. We were snowed in last night. Today is a big change warming up and the snow is almost gone after snowing over 5 inches in the mountian benches. We still have snow at our town house. We have to head up to the lake later today or in the morning. I have been in town for two weeks baby sitting the Thomas grandkids. I have enjoyed my time in the Salt lake valley. I wanted to have a Valentine party with friends but the time has come and gone. Watching the Grankids was a change of plans for me. I have been tired and needing some time to recover. I wanted to go to the temple but can’t seem to get myself going to get there the past few days after playing Pickelball in the mornings I’m beat and have to take a nap. My back is very sore still and I just have to rest. I can tell the shot from Dr Campbell did help some but it needs several weeks to really kick in and relieve the pain. I had to take a higher dose of IBUPROFEN to relieve the pain and just rest on the couch. I’m only about half speed right now. I started working on my family history research last night it passes the time and makes me feel more productive then just laying on the couch. I keep finding names to submitt for temple work. I don’t know how we will ever complete the temple work for our ancestors but keep working on it. Sharlena told me that in the new temples coming up in some areas they are adding two baptism fonts. We do have so many young people attending the temples that they do need the extra fonts. Craig was talking to Natasha and in their conversation she mentioned how she loved getting Valentine Chocolate hearts from her dad each year. We haven’t given them out the past few years. Craig called round and found a chocolate store in Orem that had them- we jumped in the car fast to drive down and pick them up just in time to meet the Thomas family at the gas station in Lehi just off the freeway on their way to Ivan’s for the weekend. She was so surprised we made the effort to their family each a chocolate heart with their name on it. We ended up getting hearts for all our family members and then needed to deliver them. After we connected with the Thomas family- we headed out to visit with the Chaudhry family. We wished them happy Valentines Day with a yummy Mint Chocolate heart. We stopped by Texas Rhode House in Lehi where Cole and Chase work to wish them happy Valentine’s Day and a short visit. We have had a fun day- Craig gave me some lovely flowers and a chocolate heart to enjoy.

Ani made the most darling Valentine box for her school valentine party. She is so creative. Love her creativity. I enjoyed decorating our Draper townhouse with valentines decor this year. My Valentine tree turned out so fun.

Anni’s Talk

Reminder that Cora has been assigned the opening prayer tomorrow in Primary and Ani has been assigned for the talk. Natasha text me Saturday night to let us know. No panic Natasha sent us a talked complied by CHATGBT an AI app in less than 2 minutes ready to go- Wow it would have taken us over an hour to write a talk. Anni practiced it several times and she did a great job in primary presenting her talk - it goes right along with our Come Follow theme this week - How to receive personal revelation in our lives - How Does Heavenly Father Speak to Us? Good morning, brothers and sisters! Today, I want to talk about how Heavenly Father speaks to us. We know that He loves us and wants to guide us, but how does He do it? In Doctrine and Covenants 6:23, the Lord says: Did I not speak peace to your mind concerning the matter? What greater witness can you have than from God?” This scripture teaches us that one of the ways Heavenly Father speaks to us is through peace. When we pray and make choices, we can feel a warm, calm feeling that helps us know what is right. But that’s not the only way! Here are a few ways Heavenly Father speaks to us:

    1.    Through the Holy Ghost – When we feel comfort, love, or even a small whisper in our hearts, that is the Holy Ghost helping us.

    2.    Through the Scriptures – When we read the Book of Mormon, the Bible, or the Doctrine and Covenants, we can find answers to our questions.

    3.    Through Prophets and Leaders – Our prophet, President Russell M. Nelson, teaches us what Heavenly Father wants us to know.

    4.    Through Our Parents and Teachers – Sometimes, God sends messages through the people who love and teach us. I know that Heavenly Father is always speaking to us, but we have to listen! If we pray, read the scriptures, and follow the Holy Ghost, we will hear Him more in our lives. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Last Day BabySitting

Natasha and Bridger are coming home today, their flight arriving at 4pm - they are taking a Uber ride home. Annie stayed home from school- she woke me up at 5am with a bad head ache- she didn’t not want o go to school. I got up at 7am to cook eggs for the boys and in the car by 7:30 am to get them to school. back to house to get Coco ready and take her to her tumble class. She was there only an hour and back home. I was still tired so I went back to bed to take a morning nap. Craig played Pickelball this morning- just getting done. I wanted to go but have the girls home. I will be able to go tomorrow morning after being free from babysitting. The two weeks have gone by fast. The kids are ready for their parents to be home. Natasha and Bridger in Tokyo

Getting Tired

Friday was a busy day- I carpooled Win, Maddie and Lincoln to school early back to pick up Cora and Tucker to preschool, get Ani out the door by 8:30- Ani is such a good helper she fixed Cora’s hair for crazy hair day at her preschool and did such a great job. She is very helpful with her little sister and in caring for her. She put Cora’s hair in pig tails with Valentine paper plates cutout and placed around her piggy tails. Very creative. Cute picture of Cora with her neighbor friend Tucker Olsen. Today is early day so the older kids arrive home about 1:30 pm. Craig picked up Lincoln and took him to a Lacrosse store for a few things he needed. I picked up Cora and Tucker at 3:30pm and headed back to their house. Craig and I rested watched the eventful news. President Trump is making all kinds of changes, the democrats are having a freakout and complaining. It is so good to see Trump stirring up the deep state government controll, they are not liking it. The two weeks he has been in office he has make at such an extreme pace we the people are having a hard time keeping up. It is fun to watch. I carpooled Winn and four of his run to the Alta basketball game last night we then picked up pizza and came back to their home for them to hang out for a couple hours. I stayed up and picked Lincoln up at 12:30. I was tired and ready to go to bed at 1:30 AM Craig and I heard a beeping noise. I got up to check on the kids and noticed that the garage door was slightly left open unlocked and that the outside garage door was halfway open. I went down and checked Lincoln‘s bed and he was gone. He had snuck out of the house. I text him and told him to get his butt home. He finally showed up at the front door. I told him that was very disrespectful to be sneaking out while I’m babysitting them. It was 2 AM by the time I crawled in bed. I’m really sleepy today. Craig packed up and had to leave to head back up to the lake to fulfill his church callings. Ani has a three hour cheer practice today. We gotta get her ready for and Winnstin has a basketball game at 11am this morning so I gotta get myself going. I’ll just have to take a nap this afternoon.

Cute pictures of Natasha and Bridger in Tokyo. They arrive home Tuesday afternoon - I have 4 more days to go!

One Week BabySitting

It has been a busy week babysitting our Thomas grandkids. Natasha and Bridger extended their trip to the 11th of February. I’ve got to gear up for another week with the kids. They left January 29th arriving home on the home on the 11th -It will be a total of two weeks. They will only be home home for two weeks and then off to Chili for a week leaving Feb 24th thru March 4th, I will have another week of Babysitting duty. This week has flown by and I have kept busy. Monday I was so tired from our busy Sunday. When I got the kids all off to school I went to our Draper home to rest. I arrive at 9:30 am and slept till 1:30 pm- I had just enough time to clean up, pick up Coco from preschool and back to the Thomas home to meet Aubrey. We were meeting Sharlena at Cheesecake Factory for a Birthday dinner for me and Aubrey, her birthday was on January 20th and mine on the 1st. We had a lovely dinner and visiting together. Sharlena gave me such a thoughtful birthday gift. It is a garden purse holding garden tools. She knows I like to work in my yard at the lake and my potted plants- Lexi took over Monday night for a couple of days to give me a break. Craig drove down from the lake late Monday night meeting me at our Draper home. We didn’t communicate very well, I told him I was at our Draper home and he thought I was still at the Thomas home and showed up there late- he found he way back to home Draper home arriving at 12:30am. We slept in Tuesday morning. We went back to the Thomas home to fix Ani’s bed. She was jumping on her bed and broke the two middle supporting bed boards. Project accomplished- we had a very late lunch dinner at 4:30 pm at a Mexican restaurant we like. We were going to go the movies for the Tuesday $5 discount night but after our meal we were tired and just went back to our home for the evening. I ran out of steam and just slept on the couch fading in and out watching the eventful evening news. Every day with President Trump there is a new announcement of change. Wednesday morning we played pickleball at Dimple Dell for a couple of hours. I had to take a nap and rest after our pickleball session it fatigues me. We had to drop off our Car at the dealership for a oil change that took two hours out is the day waiting. Before I knew it it was time to Pick up Cora at Preschool at 3:30 and begin my babysitting shift again- Wednesday was Lexi their nanny’s last day. Her sister Addi is filling in now. It is nice to have the house keeper come tidy things up on Monday, Wednesday and Friday-just wish she would come earlier. She arrived when the kids get home from school. I don’t like being here when she is cleaning- I did have to carpool picking up Ani from Cheer, picking up Win and getting him to Young Men’s at the church - I slept over and had a busy morning getting the kids all to school- Addi their new Nanny took charge today and spent the day carpooling Coco to dance and her tumbling class - picking up Ani from school early she was not feeling well- she spent the afternoon with them. Craig went to lunch with his friend Kip. He just went thru a divorce and needed a friend to talk to. Craig and him have been friends since they were 4 yrs old. I rested a couple of hours and back to the Thomas home to get Win to his basketball practice by 4:30 pm- Lincoln to his Lacrosse and Ani’s tutoring session at 5:30 pm. The deep cleaners came late today at 4pm. They are cleaning away. Guess we are going out to dinner so we are out of their way. Their only half way done. Abbi left and I’m in charge until Tuesday. Craig is good at helping. He took Win to his basketball practice. Tomorrow - Friday is early day the kids get out of school early and home by 1:30- I have preschool carpooling to take and pick up at 3:30 pm another full day. I have really wanted to break away and go to the temple. Its not happening unless I go in the morning. We had fun playing pickleball and plan on going again on Friday morning if our bodies can endure another day. We might have to take a day off.Natasha and Bridger in Tokyo Japan

Craig hosted the YSA Sunday evening devotional at our home. He called to ask me how I make my brownies. I explained my magic touch to the Costco boxed brownie mix- there. It hard make. I just replace the vegetable oil with coconut oil and ad sour cream. Makes them more moist and they taste so much better. He sent me a cute picture of him is my snowman apron-

funny man- love him so very much. He said Kyler Rassmensen, Jackson Pratt, Aaron Cook, Brandon Snow along with his parents, brother and sister Droesbeke attended-

Sabbath day - February 2nd / Baby sitting Thomas Grandkids

Craig and I drove down to our Draper home last Tuesday January 28th after the stake snow skiing activity, it is so cold at the lake and not much to do in the winter other than our YSA calling. With our activity night on Tuesday evenings frees up time for us to drive down on Tuesday evening and spend time at our Draper home until Saturday - we then head back up to the lake for Church on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evening after our YSA activity we can drive back to our Draper home. It is a lot of back and forth but breaks the winter months up. I woke up early Wednesday morning and played pickleball at Dimple Dell gym. Fun to play with new people. Last Tuesday before heading down Craig and I were able to get out our new slinger, the kids all bought for us for Christmas to practice hitting balls- it releases 50 at a time consistently to practice different return shots- I could tell it had helped from this practice session- I played much better on Wednesday- Craig wasn’t feeling well and went to the sport mall gym to steam and check out the pickleball courts they have there. He said they were not very good and playing at Dimple Dell was the better option. I have needed to go to the chiropractor for the past two months. My left side of my lower back has been really hurting and feeling so tight. I was able to make an appointment at 2:30 pm- Wednesday afternoon -I had two hours to kill after my pickleball playing so I was able to go shopping. It was fun to spend some time shopping and have some time to myself. Craig and I are together 24/7- I had left my wallet in Karen’s car in Arizona while we were there the first week of January. Karen sent my wallet with their son Scott and I was able to pick it up Tuesday evening. So it felt nice to have my wallet back and have a few hours to shop- I created a really fun Valentine tree this year and wanted to look for a few finishing touches to add. Fun to look at what is out at my favorite stores, Ross, TJMax’s, and At home. I then went to my chiro appt. It feft good to have a adjustment. I also had Dr Campbell give me an ozone shoot on my left side to help the pain I’ve been feeling. The shot hurts really bad burning at the time but I could feel insta relief afterwards- Natasha called while I was there to ask if I could baby sit the kids for the week they were leaving the following morning for a trip to Tokyo- wow Bridger found a great price on flights and in less than 24 hours they were on another international trip. They have already been to London and Italy this year now Tokyo, Japan- they also leave on the February 24th to Chili for a week. She asked me to babysit the kids for that trip and then this surprise trip- I will be watching the Thomas grandkids - for two and half weeks this month-I meet Natasha and Lincoln at the Chiro after my appointment for a quick visit she just happen to be bringing Lincoln in for an appt while I was there. It was quick visit- I then stopped by Hobby Lobby on my way home my last shopping stop for the day arriving home at 6pm- I got stuck in the 5pm traffic and took me almost an hour getting home- Craig was missing me having spent the afternoon alone. He was a little pouty when I arrived. He didn’t like me being gone all afternoon. I had to baby him to cheer him up. We were both tired and spent the evening watching the eventful news- a terrible plane crash in Washington DC on Monday night -American Airlines Killing 67 people and then another plane crash Wednesday evening in Pennsylvania killing 6 - what is going on ? Our aviation flights in the united states has been very safe- having these two incidents this week and then another flight Sunday morning in Houston, a plane caught fire on the runway safely the people on board were able to exit the plane before taking off- really concerning with 3 major incidents in just one week- makes people uneasy about flying. I began my baby sitting shift Thursday morning January 30th- I had to get up at 5am to take them to the airport. Then hurry back to their home to get the kids all off to school. It was a very busy morning. I was able to hang out at our Draper home for a few hours before I had to pick up the kids up after school. I was feeling tired and my back really sore from my shot in my lower back the previous day. Thursday flew by- Friday morning up early getting the kids off to school- I have to drive Lincoln and Winn to school leaving by 7:3o am coming back getting Anni on the bus, picking up Tucker and Cora driving them to preschool by 9am. I wanted to go play pickleball and was dressed to go but I was not feeling good- still really sore from my shot. I just went to my Draper home to take a hot bath and rest a bit. It took me two hours to just cleanup, wash my hair and put my makeup on- this way I wouldn’t have to do it again until Monday- makes it much easier getting ready Sunday for church. I knew I wouldn’t have much time getting all the kids ready the less time I have to spend getting myself ready for church. I rested at our Draper home till 3:30 pm when I needed to pick up Cora and Tucker from preschool- Craig took Lincoln and Winn to the boat show Friday afternoon. It was early day and they would be home by 1:30pm freeing up their afternoon to attend the boat show with their Grandpa Symes- I was able to pick up the kids and head back to their home - got there and realized I left my phone at my Draper home so I had to drive all the way back to pick it up- Cora wanted to play at my Draper home - so we stayed for a couple of hours- I got some energy and was able to finishing putting my storage things away and took the Basement Christmas tree down putting in the storage area I cleared out for a spot and vacuum the entire house. Felt good to get that cleaning project done-

Cora and Tucker standing by my Valentine Tree- it turned out so fun! I let them each pick out a beanie bear from great grandmother Lavon’s stash we inherited from her. They like to pick out a bear when they come to visit my house -I have two drawers full of beanie animal collection. Slowly giving them to the Grankids. The kids all had friends to play with Friday evening. I fixed spaghetti for dinner and watched the crazy news with Craig. We had to stay up after midnight until I could get Winn and Lincoln in from friend hang out time. I remember those teens years they love to hang out with their friends. Saturday up early 8am to get Winn to his basketball game- Craig took him while I fixed breakfast for the kids- Lincoln went snow skiing for the day. Craig left by noon to head back up to lake for his Sunday calling. I stayed to watch the kids. Ani, Cora and I went to Home Goods shopping and then stopped by to get a $1 drink special at their favorite drink place swigs- we waited in line for about 45 minutes- it was crowed at all the swigs for their Saturday drink special. We stopped at chick fillet for lunch and took food home for the boys. Saturday night the boys hung out with their friends again. Lexi their Nanny came and picked up Ani and Cora to go get ice cream which was really nice of her. This is her last week as their Nanny- she got married in the fall and can no longer be their Nanny- but her younger sister is taking over. Natasha and Bridger are gone so much they do need help with their trips and working hours. It is so nice she also has a housekeeper three days a week that comes to clean thing up and keeps their home I order with their busy schedules. Sunday morning we were all tired from being up late and were able to sleep in. Church starting at noon. We were in our church clothes till 8pm- we had two hours of church then went to Charlotte Olsen’s baptism a dear friend to Ani who is a sister to Tucker- their mother Kelly is best friends with Natasha. From there I had to take the boys to a family history class with dinner at the England’s home who I have known since my girls were in High school- 20 years ago- Stacy and Natasha- the years go by all to fast- I do enjoy spending time in our area where we raised our girls and taking our Thomas grandkids to the same schools our girls attend. It brings some stability to my life- with my childhood being so transitional and moving all the time- it is nice to have a place called home in an area where we raised our girls. It feels like home to me being back in the same area driving the same roads and taking the grandkids to the same schools- elementary Lone Peak, Junior high, and Alta High School for Lincoln- crazy we have grandkids graduated from high school and Lincoln now in high school and learning to drive. I let him drive Saturday evening to some friends. With his learner permit he needs driving time. He did a great job- note from my Sunday school class - Be ye Perfect - in the Greek language the word prefect means finished - to continue in growing - attending church with the Thomas grandkids- our come follow me lesson today D&C sections 3-5-

Sunday was a full day for us all we were tired and ready for bed early by 9:30 am- after church I shared my conversion story with the kids and helped Win and Lincoln set up a study plan on their phones to read the Book of Mormon with their ward by September 21st this year which is the anniversary day that Joseph Smith received the golden plates to translate- I also helped them set up their family search account on their phone so they can find family names to do baptism for themselves personally they can print out their own card for the temple baptism- makes me want to get back to working on my family history there is always so much to do. Our Prophets counsels this is greatest work we can be doing gathering our family names and performing the temple ordinances for themselves personally- turning our hearts to the fathers - we take about in our come follow me lesson this weeks study- Malichi 3-5
