Going To The Lake Again

With our house listed- now there are several showings this weekend. Today is Friday, we are just going to take off and go to the lake and come back this time when I'm ready, hopefully we can stay till Monday or Tuesday of next week, after the 4th of July, at least be back in time to work at the temple on our Wednesday night shift.  That will help a lot in the stress of trying to keep our house clean for showings. The grandkids can come spend time with us at the lake. I'm ready to relax a little bit, we  have worked so hard this week getting things ready to sale of our home.....
Well that plan all got changed in a hurry, Shannon called after her doctor appointment today, she is dilated to 4 cm and a 100% thinned out.  The doctor stripped her membranes in the uterus.  I didn't dare go any where, I feel for sure she is going to have this baby this weekend.  I want to be there when she deliveries her little one.  So exciting for her arrival!!

Fathers Day

We went to the cabin last week for Father's Day weekend we left Thursday Night with the Chaudhry boys, Michael, Jaxon, Landon & cousin Boston.  On the way out of town we got a flat tire on the boat trailer at 9:30 pm just coming onto the 90th south exit.  We were only about 15 minutes away from our home, so we had to get off the freeway and leave the boat on the side of the freeway, come home for the night until Craig could have time to fix the tire the next morning.  So we didn't arrive to Bear Lake until late afternoon on Friday.  It was a quick trip we had to come home Sunday for the boys to be home to see their dad on Father's Day.  We all gathered over at Trisha's house and had banana splits later that evening and visited as a family.  It was a nice Father's Day the kids all went in on the fire pit at Bear Lake that Trisha and Buck are building for us. It is going to be really nice to enjoy, the grandkids love roasting marshmallows and sitting by the fire.  A great Father's Day gift.  My phone is acting up, I have not been able to take any pictures.  Got to go to the T-mobile store to figure out what the problem is.

So Sad!!

Last night I was gathering up our jewelry that Craig and I have in my jewelry box and found that it was gone!! Eric Towner our realtor told me to gather up things that people could just throw in their pockets easily, so I  checked my jewelry box.  Craig's wedding ring, my ring that needed to be repaired and his ring from his dad, that he inherited, low & behold it's all gone!! I don't know when it disappeared, had to have been in the past year, since fall.  I'm so sad I feel like crying over it!!  I loved my ring, Craig had given it to me on our 10th wedding anniversary.  Last spring I had taken it off because I had a diamond come out and luckily I found it sitting on top of the couch.  I put it in a little baggie with the lose diamond, going to take it in and have it repaired.  I've had it sitting in the top of my jewelry box with our rings. A year ago my diamond necklace came up missing as well.  I feel so sad I really loved my ring!!   The two times I had the housekeeper here they have had free reign in my master bedroom and that's when it must have disappeared.  I'm so so sad.  It makes us really uneasy having anyone in my house trying to sell it with us not here.  I have to trust the realtors that bring people to look at our home.

Our House Is Listed

We have been working hard this month trying to get all the things done in our house that needed to be done to get our house ready for sale.  We finally made it!! Wednesday morning June 22nd  Eric Towner Junior came and took pictures of our house and posted it Wednesday evening and our for sale signs were put up in the yard yesterday, Thursday afternoon- so we are officially up for sale, everything looks really nice and clean.  So we'll see how things go. We listed it for $950,000.  We hope to make about $100,000 on this house after living here for 12 years.  I have loved this house, it is such a pretty home.  I'm going to be sad when we actually move.  Eric says that we should have several showings this weekend and then the next week.  So now it is keeping it nice and clean.  That's a challenge with the grandkids in & out!!

Our Sunday Lessons

It was nice to be in church in our home ward.  We have been at Bear Lake the last two weeks, so it felt good to be in our own ward.  I enjoyed our meetings so much, the three hour block went by very quickly. Sunday school we talked about being born again and how we need to constantly work at it, being followers of Jesus Christ, it is line upon on line, precept upon precept and constantly working in living a Christlike life. Relief society we talked about the importance of reading and studying our scriptures and how that does bring us closer to the spirit and teaches us how to live a Christlike life.  we need to make it a daily effort to constantly strive to read and study your scriptures.  Not just read them but search the Scriptures and ponder them as well in our hearts.  Craig and I've have been reading the book of Mormon together and I'm enjoying the time in reading together.  We slacked off last week -got off our routine so I need to do better this week.  I do love the Scriptures and I love immersing myself in them, in learning and growing.

Monday

Summer is here, but it comes and goes, we had a rainstorm and then the sunshine for a few days, today is very cool and rainy,  another rainy day. It feels really good, I'm not complaining, everything is so pretty and green right now with all the rain that we've been getting.  I came down with a bad cold last week and I've had it the last for five days as well, starting to feel little better today.  I have been working hard trying to clean and get things done in our house so that we can get it up for sale.  I need one more hard-working week and then I think  we will be ready.  Tasha and her family went to California this week so it will be nice to not have them not coming back-and-forth and undo what I did the day before.  Nice to have a little break from all the grandkids.  Stacy and Chad are living with the Towner family until they find a home in California.  They all went to Lake Powell this week, they left yesterday.  Craig is really wanting to go down to Lake Powell to camp out.  I'm not so sure about the camping.  I'm still not feeling the best, we will see how the day goes.  Michael, Alec and Jaxon are wanting to go but they have an orthodontics appointment this Thursday, they're getting braces, so Craig was wanting to see if they could change the appointment but I don't think that's going to happen. Shannon is due in three more weeks with her little baby- she could go anytime now, so I hate to be so far away in case she does go into labor.  I'm sure she could use some help in cleaning her house and getting things ready for this little one as well, I just haven't had time to go out and help her.  I have been working hard at our own house. Today I need to tackle my Travertine kitchen floor on the main level it needs a good cleaning and then I need to wax it really well, so that's going to be a big job for me.  There is always so much to do!

Our 4 days At The Lake

Craig, three of the Chaudhry boys, Lincoln and the Burbidge family all went to the lake Thursday night.  I helped Stacy pack all day Thursday.  It was a lot of work I hurt so bad when I crawled in bed my back was killing me after standing on my feet from 1pm till midnight 11 hrs on my feet,  I was beat!!   Friday I slept in and then got ready for the lake.  I had several things I needed to do before I left.  I needed to tidy my own house and plant a few more summer flowers.  Something ate all the flowers I planted in my front bed a month ago.  I think a deer or a bunny rabbit is having a hay day!!  It is sugar to them.  They love the new tender plants, going to have to plant something they wont' eat.  We had a very nice time at the Lake.  The weather is nice- on the cool side.  Trisha and Buck started working on a new fire pit at the lake as a gift for Father's day.  It is going to be really nice to have up there.  We all had a fun time boating.  The water is very cold in June still.  It need's to warm up before I get in the that cold water.  I drove up Friday night,  I picked up Cole on the way up.  I don't like driving at night anymore.  We arrived safely.  The cousin all had a great time.  They love to play cards with one another.

Our 39th Wedding Anniversary

Today is our 39th wedding anniversary the years have gone by so quickly.  I wished I felt better, Craig has been sick this last week with a bad cold and now I've got it, I'm not feeling so great. I went and got a massage and a pedicure today & treated myself to a Vanilla Coke at happy hour. Craig gave me some beautiful flowers and my favorite chocolate raisins also a beautiful love note from him for our anniversary. We both are not feeling so well but I think we'll go out to dinner,  he's on a bike ride right now.  I am just resting. I drove home from the lake yesterday and my arm just started aching so bad I could hardly lift it up over my shoulder, the massages helped a lot I'm just icing it right now- my lower back hurts really bad too. I have to renew my temple recommend.  Tonight is the only time we can meet with the stake president.  We had our interview with brother Briggs at 8:30 pm and then went to the Stake office.  There we sat until 10:00 pm.- the last to leave.  We had a very nice interview.  We were both starving so we went to AppleBee's for dinner.  It was yummy.  Eating our anniversary dinner at 10:30 pm.  Fun to spend time with my dear Husband.  I love him with all my heart.  He gave me a beautiful love note.

Stacy and Chad Sold Their Home

I spent all day yesterday helping Stacy and Chad pack up their home.  They moved there in 2009 and are now moving to California.  Chad has been working there the past two years and it has been really hard for them with him traveling back and forth.  Stacy is pregnant with her 4th child and due in August.  She needs to have her hubby's support.  We are going to miss them.  It is a lot of work packing.  My back was killing me as I crawled in bed at midnight.  They are going to live at the Towner's until they find a place to live in California.  They have a family lake Powell trip around the 13th of June so their planning on staying in town until after the trip.  They plan to come spend some time at Bake Lake too before they move.

Summer Is Here!!

June 1st was on Wednesday, it has been lovely the past few days.  A break from the rain and cool weather.  It is going to be in the 90's this weekend.  It has been in the high 80's the past few day.  Burbidge's left last night to go to the lake for the weekend boating with the warmer weather.  Craig left today at noon with Michael, Jaxon, Landon and Lincoln.  I'm leaving later tonight after Cole's baseball game.  He wanted to come up skiing too.  The older grandkids are all wanting to go to the lake.  They started calling us last week excited to go to the lake.  Officially summers is here.  Get ready for the back and forth to the cabin for the summer.  Hoping to stay there a little more this year with Craig retired.  Michael quit his job so he could spend more time at the lake this year. Him and Grandpa Symes made their list of things they want to do this summer.  I'm going to just have my bags packed and and ready to go for our summer fun!!
