Our Money Wired
Our money was wired yesterday into our checking account 853,000 closing of our home on red tree Court is official. Our new home is at Bear Lake. We spent the day trying to finish unpacking our last trailer load. Last night we went to Cooper's restaurant at the golf course just a half a mile from us, the only place open to celebrate during the week to eat out. We wanted to celebrate the wiring of our money. They a special all the Snow King crab you could eat, thought we would try it. It was a lot of work cracking the crab leg open for the small amount of crab meat. We decided we don't like working to that hard to eat our crab. Ask if they could please bring him something else to eat. We did have a nice dinner out.

Tuesday Feeling Better
Today Craig and I are starting to feel better from this darn stomach bug. I still feel a little queasy and lethargic but much better than we have been, trying to unload the trailer today, finish sorting and putting things away. We got here Saturday night late and have have not felt well enough to do much, letting it sit in the trailor, so now I'm trying to tackle putting things away, it's a little overwhelming, it has been a struggle to put this last little bit away. We got moved just in time before it turned cold and snowy. We have had a very warm fall. Winter is here now!!

Our first snow fall for the year |
Monday Morning
I woke up at 5:30 am, my back is killing me, it is so achy and tired of laying around sick, Craig & I both just laid around all day yesterday not feeling well enough to do anything, hope today's a better day for us, it feels like we are on a lonely isolated island somewhere, it does feel weird right now moving to Bear lake in the dead of winter, it's very quiet here, not much to do, the snow is falling today, so winter is starting to set in, hope we do get a lot of snow this year.
The Sunday Blues
Craig and I didn't feel like doing anything we just laid around all day and watched TV. A stomach bug has put us under the weather for sure, my back is killing me !! It hurts from laying around all day and night hope tomorrow is a better day for us and that this is a short spell for the stomach bug. All I feel like doing is laying on the couch watching the Hallmark Christmas movies to pass the time.
Stomach Bug
Craig and I arrived to the lake Saturday night with our fifth load of moving up, it was soon evident that we both are not feeling well, we have the stomach bug that the Chaurdhry family was sick with this last week, so I guess we got it from them. Michael came out last Sunday to help us move and ended up being sick, laying on the floor all day. Shannon said she came down with it and the rest of the boys throughout the week. I didn't know if we were going to get together for Thanksgiving, she said they seem to be feeling ok, so we went out for turkey dinner but I guess the bug still got us infected. Craig started throwing up most of the night, I felt very nauseous like I was going to throw up, I had really bad body aches and just felt horrible, I laid really still, I hate throwing up, I got through the night without throwing up. We just laid around all day yesterday feeling really bad, this darn stomach bug!! It must be very contagious we didn't escape it going around. Craig & I were just an hour of each other in feeling the symptom coming on.

Say Our Goodbyes
The new family that bought our home started moving in today, Craig and I have worked so hard getting things moved out in time. We are just exhausted, it will be nice to have time to rest today and relax a little. I feel good about things, it's hard saying goodbye to a home that I loved for 12 years, but I know it's the right thing to do this season in our lives.

The Closing of Our House
Craig and I went to the title company today at 11:30 am and signed the closing papers for our home November 28, 2016 on 1656 East Red Tree Court, we have lived in this house for 12 years, there are so many fond memories that have been created by our family, our neighbors and ward, going to miss everyone. We cleared about $853,000.00 which is nice to know that our home was paid for, we are moving to Bear Lake to live there for a while till we figure out a place here in the valley. Craig is very irritable right now, he had to pack up his office and he did not want me touching his stuff, he put everything in the back of his truck and do not touch it!! He had to repack the back of the trailer because things were not how you wanted it, he is a little OCD when it comes to moving things around, I have to have lots of patients with him, he started yelling at me and it upset me. My emotions are close to the surface right now, so I'm just sitting down in my yellow room/ office saying goodbye. I have spent many hours in this office. I have loved having my own office working, on my many projects over the years. I have really love this home, it was my dream house!! I guess we're onto a new season in our lives. I'm feeling really sad right now. Hard to give up your dream home!!

Feeling Sad
I have worked all day tearing my office down, sorting files, scanning pictures and trying to organize things in a orderly manner, fot when we moved to the lake, I'm not going to have my big office and I'm going to miss it, I have loved having my own office space to work on family history, pay billss and many multiple tasks. I have collected lots of articles from the church and family home evening packets over the years, my office contains 40 years of my life memories it's been fun going down memory lane, I had lots of pictures I needed to scan that my mother had given me this summer. I finally got through the bulk of them, working on a life history for her. I have love this house and we only have a couple more days to stay here feeling sad that we're leaving and I know that is probably the best thing at this season in our lives we wanted to downsize and try to simplify our life, getting rid of our things has been hard emotionally, I just try not to think too hard about it. Emotionally I'm feeling a sense of sadness come over me today. I do feel at peace, but it is still hard to close this chapter, I have really loved this home!
Busy Week Packing
This has been another busy week packing up our house. Tuesday night Eric Towner, our realtor called to let us know that we were not going to be closing on Wednesday, their loan had not been approved yet, they wanted to know if they could move in and pay us rent but we did not feel comfortable letting them move in until we actually had the closing. The closing date is postponed to next Wednesday if everything goes well, I was greatly relieved I needed more time to finish packing up, one more week is great to have. I was feeling really stressed from all the work and needing more time to pack. We took a load up Wednesday night working hard all day packing the trailer, Shar and Dave came over as well with Cole to help us pack, we drove up to Bear Lake Wednesday night before a snow storm hit as foretasted. We go up early Thursday morning, Trisha and Buck drove up with us and helped us unload our third load at the cabin, we hope we only have one more load, the last couple days I have been sorting through my office and weeding out my files, I have so much stuff in this office, it's been overwhelming for me. I needed to weed things out. We're getting there not a whole lot left to do, we still need to finish packing up Craig office, we're making progress, then load all the stuff that's in the lower garage, Ryan is supposed to come out today and helped us combine our computers and help us tare down our TV's and sound system. Moving is a lot of work!! So nice to have another week before closing.

Only Three More Days
Only three more days living in our beloved home of 12 years it's sad to leave our home. We have lots of Cherished family memories created in this home. I was so excited when we move in my dream home. Now I'm closing the door and leaving it for another season in our lives. We had our final inspection with the new owners today they are a young family about Trisha and Buck's age with three little boys oldest only 4 yrs old. They love the house, love all of my colors and don't want to change anything, It was nice to visit with them, I'm glad that the family buying this home loves it as much as I do!! Cherrin, says it will be their forever home, they're planning on staying here for a long time. I've loved this home!! I know I'm going to miss it but I feel like it's time for us to move onto a new season in our lives, it feels really good to simplify our lives. It will be nice to have only one home for now.
Dave's New Calling
Sharlena and Dave invited us to attend their stake conference and afterwards Dave was set apart in his new calling in the stake young men's presidency, as the secretary, it was fun to visit with their family. We went to their home afterwards and had a very nice dinner & visit. Blessed Sunday- we needed a day of rest from all our hard work from packing things and move it to the Lake. We are slowly gettng things moved little by little. Craig and I's back are killing us right now, we needed some rest. Moving is a lot of work!!

Our Second Load To The Lake
We moved our second load to the lake. We worked really hard last week, Trisha and Buck came over Thursday to help us load some of the heavy things and then drove up to the lake with us on Friday morning to put things in the garage and put things away neatly in the cabin. I want to make our life at the lake an easy transition by putting things away as we move each load, place in the cabin what we can use and then store the rest in our lower garage. We slept over and came home early Saturday morning. Craig had tickets for the BYU football game at 1 o'clock, he took our Sadie bug with him, she loves football!! It felt good to stay home and rest a little from all our moving.

He took the electoral votes throughout the United States, what a big shake up, we are so surprised!! I We have a full Republican House and Senate and a Republican president now. It will be very interesting to see how things work in our country now that Trump is really shaking things up.

Only Nine More Days
This is a big week of packing up things in our home, it looks like the deal is going to be final, we actually got mail from the new owners today, they've already put in a change of address, there's still so much to do and I get overwhelmed but I just have to do what I can each day and pace myself it is exhausting!! Trisha came over and got some more stuff yesterday to put in her house. Today I started loading up my car with decor things to take out to Shannon's new house, trying to get the things out of here that will look good in the girl's house, so we don't have to store it. I don't want to give it all to them, I just think it's better to put it in their homes and make their homes look nice instead of stored in a box in the storage in the garage. I don't know when we will buy another home. It could be for several years. Thinking we would like to hang out at the lake for a year and then consider serving a mission, that could be 18 months or so. Told the girls I would rather them use the things I have if they like. Shannon has a lot of shelf in her kitchen that needs large bulky things to place on. The decor things I have will look really nice in her kitchen area.
Election Day
Tuesday, November 8, 2016 - thr day where the United States elects a new president, Craig and I cast our vote for Donald Trump, rooting for the Republican Party to win but most likely the Democratic Party, Hillary Clinton will be the favorite to win the presidential election, so we will wait to see how things play out tonight!!
