24th of July Week

Stacy and Chad arrived last Wednesday and just left today they were here and entire week with their little family.  Tasha and her family came up Sunday night and spent the day Monday with us.  It gets a little crazy with nine grandkids running around under the age of six years old, we did have Landon here for the last week, he helped out with the kids.  Stacy just left today about 2pm.  I am exhausted!!  I am so tired,  it is a lot of work with all these little kids running around, it's constantly cleaning up, I didn't get any pictures while they were here.  Craig's phone just quit working.  He was using my phone and my phone doesn't take the best pictures, he left today to go to Salt Lake to see if he can get a new phone and get things squared around.  We been dealing with that for about the last four days, it feels so good to just have some peace and quiet to myself, I do have a lot of cleaning to do, I have got to rest for a little bit I'm so tired!!

Towner Family Arrived

Family Birthday Party

We drove down Monday to Salt Lake City to celebrate Annie's little third birthday party we had a family swim party over at uncle Bob's we all had fun getting together as a family for our little Annie is now three years old

My Mom 81st birthday

Happy birthday to my mother another year older, she turned 81 years old today I wasn't able to go visit her this year we celebrated a big family party last year wish her a very nice day she was going to go out to lunch with her boyfriend

Annie’s Third Birthday

She is everything I dreamed of and more! 💛 Happiest Birthday to my little Ani Girl! 🎉Your whole family is obsessed with you! The big 3!! So crazy how time flies! Aniston loves anything girly, just mastered potty training, Lincoln will do anything for her, Winston is her best friend, mommy is her favorite no matter what and she tolerates her daddy!😂 So sad but we are working on it.

My Family History Class

I serve at the Montpelier Idaho Family History Library on Wednesday afternoon, we have a meeting once a month and this last Wednesday we had training on some new apps connected to family search on our phone, Sister Taylor taught us about find a relative around you, we login to familysearch.org it will show who you are related to within 100 feet of one another, as I listened and watched I thought, "oh I'm not related to any of these people in Idaho."  They're all  Mormon pioneer ancestors but I logged in for fun and lo and behold there were about seven people in that very room that were my ninth and 10th cousins from little ol'Montpelier, Idaho.  I was literally shocked, it took me to about the 1600's across the ocean but we were first cousins several of them were related to my birth father sides.   I was fighting back the tears,  I was feeling all alone in this little Montpelier family history Library, kinda like an outsider and little did I know they were cousin's that I'm working with on the same day.   That's wild I can believe it,  I was so amazed!!  It's a fun app to play with.  it would be fun to try it at church on Sunday.  The Lord work is guiding my life!!  It confirms to me that I'm in the right place at this season in my life.

Saturday

Today started out being a lazy day for me I slept until 9am while my dear husband rode his bike around the lake 50 miles.   He got up at about 5:30am, we have enjoyed our morning together when he got back just relaxing, we've had a nice week together enjoying one another's company, it was nice to have a break from all the kids this week.  Shelly and Dennis visited us on Thursday, we went for a boat ride,  Craig showed off his water skiing skills still going strong at 62

The Middle of July

July is almost half over we are having a beautiful summer this year the weather has been great, I took a fun swim in the lake yesterday after working all day in our lower garage organizing things.  Craig has been working on installing our cabinets, They have turned out really nice, and it feels nice to get things organized inside of them, finding storage space for all our stuff in the lower garage. It has been hot and it felt good to jump in the cool water.  Installing the cabinet our selves has been a huge chore for us, Craig is almost done,  he just has to put the kick plates on today and then we can finish sorting and organizing our things, we still have lots of stuff that we need to weed out.

Sabbath Day

This has been a nice Sabbath day, I slept in a little bit to get caught up on some rest before we got ready for church.  Our meetings don't start until 11:00 am.  It was a full house at our church today. I think we actually had more people here this weekend than last weekend for the Fourth of July,  all the classrooms were full, the entire in the chapel, culture hall and clear back to the stage was filled with people.  It felt like stake conference.   Brother and Sister Menlove talked in sacrament today, they served their senior mission to Russia and they just got back from their mission in February this year.  They move to Bear Lake to retire, like we have to prepare for our mission.   Brother Menlove mentioned brother  James ,Martino as one of his area directors I was excited to hear brother Martino's name.  In the early 70s the Martino family joined the church in Denton, Texas where I was baptized.  Their oldest son was James.  They were great family, The Martino family had a great influence in building the gospel of Jesus Christ in Denton, Texas area.   They left quite a legacy and now have a son that is a seventy in first quorum of the seventy's.  Fun to see that growth and the influence their family has contributed from the blessings of building up the gospel of Jesus. Craig & I look so.forward to the time and Craig and I came go on a mission.  I enjoyed our sacrament meeting so much today.  Our cat that we inherited from Trisha & Buck  just jumped up on the couch, and scared me.  She is not the most loveable cat yet does well in catching the mice around the cabin.   it's a beautiful full moon at Bear Lake tonight, we are enjoying our time at Bear Lake.   It has been a lazy day for me, I have been so tired today, all through church today I could not keep from yawning I had to come home and take a nap and then I watched a movie.   I needed day of rest  from all our family visiting it has worn me. 

Fourth of July

Grandma Debbie and baby Ashtyn in our Fourth of July outfits we celebrated her first birthday as a family last night she is such an adorable little baby girl we are enjoying spending time with her,  Her family is packing up to go home today.  They were able to stay three days with us.

Thomas Family on the 4th of JulyWe had a very nice Fourth of July with our family.  I sang in the Fourth of July choir at the Paris tabernacle this year, lots of fun to be singing again and in a great choir.  I really enjoyed preforming our songs at a great program.  The kids all came and supported me.  We all came  back and went boating and had a yummy Fourth of July dinner.  We had a great firework show last night.  We had a nice Fourth of July celebration as a family,  Sharlena and her kids were here, Shannon and Ryan and their family, Tasha and Bridger  were here for a few days, they left yesterday morning to go home, The Burbidge family have been spending alot of time with us this summer, still house hunting.  We also celebrating baby Ashtyn's first birthday as family and had a fun family party.  We missed having the Towner family with us this year.

Fourth of July Weekend Is Here

The big Fourth of July weekend has arrived it has been beautiful the last few days, the weather is just great, Tasha and Bridger arrived last night and Shannon and Ryan arrived Saturday night Shar & Dave are arriving tonight, we are celebrating little baby Ashtyn's birthday tonight it has been a fun day boating for the kids.  This a darling picture of Annie & Winniston.

Wednesday I took Landon, Jaxon & Boston to Fossil Butte. It's about a 45 minute drive one way, it was a good field trip for us for the day Trisha and Buck were in Salt Lake and Craig went to girls camp for the day,gave us something to do for the day.  Amazing that water creatures lived here in the dessert area at one time, when it was not a dessert.
