I  attended women's conference the last two days at Brigham Young University, it has been very uplifting. The theme "Charity Never Failth"  The speaker were all very uplifting.  Christy Dixon in our Ward Spoke on Friday afternoon at 2pm.  I wanted to support her as her visiting teacher. She did a fabulous job, which I knew she would.  We all stayed at Nancy Vanslooten Cabin in our ward.  They built a beautiful amazing family reunion resort up in Heber it's unbelievable, there's 15 bedrooms and it's just massive huge, easy to get lost in here. Fun to spend time with the sister's in my ward. I felt like I needed some fun girl power and friendship with the sisters.  We are eating yummy food tonight and lots of visiting. I drove up yesterday and attended a very nice musical concert at the Y, we all went out to dinner and then we all came to cabin and had a sleepover, we were up till 2:30 am in the morning, two nights in a row up late, I'm really tired tonight I don't know if I'm going to last very long.  I need to get a good night's sleep tonight.  I have had such a great time!!

Craig Went To The InstaCare

Craig has not felt good all weekend has gotten worse, I think he has pink eye, his eyes are all red and swollen and lots of pus coming out of them.  After the Thomas family all left he decided to go down and get checked out he probably needs to be on an antibiotic, so I'm resting, feels good to relax for a little bit.  We talked about driving up to the lake tonight but I don't know if he's going to feel well enough to go or not, we'll have to wait and see when he gets back, I'm going to take a little power nap. Sure enough he does have pink eye.  He has drops to put in his eye to get rid of the infection.  It is very contagious, hope I don't get it.  He had a really bad cold this past week and had rubbed his eyes after sneezing which transferred the germs to his eyes. He will feel much better in a few days with the drops.  Tasha called Monday morning and she and the kids now have pick eye too!!  It is so contagious!!

Tasha and Bridger Spoke in Sacrament

Tasha and Bridger spoke in their new ward in sacrament today, they both did a great job, we were so proud of them.  They talked about a true conversion to the gospel and it takes constantly working at our testimonies. They asked us to come early so we could watch the kids, so that they can go to prayer meeting just before sacrament.  Bridger's parents came also to the meeting with his little sister Emma.  I invited them to come to our house after church for Sunday dinner.  I haven't cooked a big Sunday dinner for a while since I've been on my diet, so it was fun to cook in my kitchen and prepare a nice dinner to share with the Thomas family. After the sacrament meeting we all went over to see their house and how things are coming along, they're making progress, it is just going to take more time, it's most likely going to be about a month before they can really move in.  This has been a nice Sabbath day.  I made a yummy dinner, it turned out really well, made Swedish meatballs and a green salad, Mindy brought a yummy banana cream pie and peach pie we had such a good dinner!!  It was fun visiting with them for a while.  Bridger has very special parents.  I'm tired now and ready for a nap!  This has been a blessed Sabbath Day!

Working on House Chores

With Bridger & Natasha moving out to Uncle Bob's Garage apartment, it's given us a little bit of time to start working on things that needed to be fixed around here. Craig and I spent all day Thursday doing chores, we got one of the garage doors painted and fixed up, that was a big job! Craig started not feeling well at all on Wednesday has a bad cold kicking in, he felt really bad on Thursday but we managed to get lots of work done.  I've been cleaning and sorting as well inside the house.  It rained part of Friday and Saturday so I had to stay in the house, I was able to clean and get some sorting done, feels good to have our house back to ourselves.  Craig fixed the molding in the downstairs bathroom that they were staying in.   It had gotten really bad from water leaking around the tub. From there I started cleaning the bathroom and then the basement kitchen and basement family room, everything was very dirty and cluttered with their little family staying down there for 6 months.   It needed a really good cleaning.  I have fallen in bed the last two nights dead tired from all of my hard work.

Tasha & Bridger Move Out

This has been a crazy week.  Last weekend while we were in St. George, Bridger called Saturday morning really upset with our neighbor next-door, he had said some inappropriate sexual things to Natasha.  He has been very flirty with Natasha since they been living here the past six months.  He crossed the line this weekend while Bridger was out of town.  Bridger called us so upset, he got home Sunday and the fight began with the two of them.  Tasha didn't want to say anything, she didn't want to make a big deal out of it even though he was in the wrong as a neighbor.  Lincoln and their little boy Nixon have been the best of friends while living here, they play together every day, so it has made it very awkward for Tasha, she didn't know what to do and had a hard time saying anything. Bridger was so upset that he slept at a hotel on Monday night he came home Tuesday and they had a nice long talk and seemed to have worked things out, they went to the bike park with the boy, Rich the neighbor was there.  The next thing we know Bridger and Rich are having a fighting match talking back hateful to one another.  It did not end well.  Tasha was so upset she went to her room crying she didn't know what to do anymore, Bridger was not letting it go.  We agreed what Rich said was inappropriate and shouldn't have been talking to Tasha that away.  After Rich and Bridger's fight Bridger said they were out of here, he made arrangements for them to move over to his uncle Bob's garage apartment.  They have been gone since Wednesday, I didn't want them to feel like they had to move and that they were running away from their problems.  Their house is not ready yet and most likely won't be for another four weeks, there's a lot to do still!!  He felt that it would be best for them to go ahead and move over there now because Craig and I want to put our house up for sale and we need time to get things ready.  They've been here for seven months it's hard to believe it's gone by so fast.   It has been nice to have a little bit of time to ourselves, we've missed having a quiet house.

Babysitting The Kids

Tasha & Bridger had a doctors appointment early this morning so I'm babysitting the kids again, I'm not able to get much done around here.  Craig just left for the gym and that's where I need to be going I'm so disgusted with myself that I've let this weight creep back on.  Didn't creep on, it happened in one weekend.  Going on these little trips are really challenging for me, it knocks me off my routine and then I'm not able to eat what I really should be eating, it really does make a difference.  I've got to do so much better this week.

Monday Morning

I'm so frustrated with myself, I got on the scales this morning and I weigh 153.6 ouch!!  I've gained 5 pounds in the last week.  Last Wednesday I weighed 148.2.    I haven't lost any weight since our Washington DC trip, I've just been staying around the 148 mark and bouncing between 146 and 148lbs.  I haven't been perfect on eating my Nutrisystem food so I haven't been losing any weight just been maintaining.  I need to get serious and get back to a stricter diet, I really wanted to get below 140lbs by April and I'm not there,  I'm going the wrong direction!!! This week I have got to be good about eating my Nutrisystem food and no cheating.  When I get over 150 I don't feel good I feel bloated and fat today.   Not happy with my progress, I need to regroup myself.  I fell off the wagon this weekend and boy did it catch up with me fast!! If I'm not careful  the weight creeps back on so quickly,  I just can't eat all the carbohydrates, I had a hamburger Saturday and breakfast tacos for two days, too many cokes, yesterday I ate at the missionary luncheon the food there and surprise this morning I've gained another two pounds. I've got to get a handle on this and get back to my Nutrisystem eating, I'm going to have to work hard to get this weight off no cheating for the next few weeks for sure.

Our Sabbath Day

We got home about 9:30 pm Saturday night from our St. George weekend.  We got a fairly good nights rest but still feeling tired in our Sunday meetings.  I had the hardest time staying awake in sacrament.  Craig and I are both sore from our long hike.  It was our Stake Conference this weekend, we were not  able to attend,  we went to sacrament in Laurie and Paul Jenck's Ward, their daughter Stephanie is leaving on her mission for Canada on May 12th. This is Craig's cousin daughter, we wanted to support them today.  Stephanie their daughter is such a darling and sweet person, she gave a beautiful talk in sacrament, I was very impressed with what she had to say and how she said it. Afterwards they had a luncheon and family gathering it was nice to visit with her family.  We hurried home so that our home teachers could visit us at about 1:15 pm.  We had a very nice visit, after they left we were both hungry so we took a ride in the Corvette and went to McDonald's. Craig got a hot fudge sundae and I wanted a salad.  I worked on my family history for a while when I got home, it's just all overwhelming to me right now, I have so much work that needs to be done trying to clean up files and clear out duplication that I find on family search and Ancestry it is a lot of work!!!.  Tasha and Bridger had a big fight this weekend Bridger came home really mad and angry and took off and left.  I had to feed and babysit the kids so Tasha could go find him and talk to it out.  They came home late and seem to be happy and have worked things out.  Married life can be challenging especially when you have disagreements, coming to the meeting of the minds is always so important. They're both under a lot of stress right now trying to get their house ready so they can move in, Bridger going to school, working full time, Tasha running a business , they're both stretched at both ends right now and they need our love and support.  Be glad to get them in their own home, it's been long enough we have enjoy the grandkids a lot.  They should be moving in sometime in May so only about a month more.  Just want to enjoy the time that we have with them right now.

Hiking Angel's Landing

View hiking, It is breath taking!!

We hiked a beautiful 5 mile trail in Zion National Park . It was a steep hike.  Zion park is very beautiful.  I got scared the last half mile and wouldn't go any further. It was very windy on top and very steep to climb.  This last part of the trail is said to be one of the most dangerous in the world.  6 people have fallen and died in the past 8 years. You have to hold on to chains and be very careful there is no room for error,  if you slip you will fall off the cliffs.  I didn't feel comfortable!!  I had vertigo set in from the amazing height.  I had to call it done. I was just fine not to make the final climb.  Craig went about half way and came back to try to encourage me but there was no way!!! I was to scared.  He doesn't like heights either and felt uneasy as well.  We headed back down.  We are really sore today from our hike.

Going South

The weather was going to be cold and rainy the next few days so we decided to go down south we left late last night about 9 o'clock to come down to St. George.  We brought our mountain bikes.       It's the 100 year anniversary for the national parks so we thought we would also go hiking in Zions national Park while we're here.  The weather has been on the cool side, High Winds and raining today so we had to postpone our hike in Zion's, we drove up there and it was just not the best weather.  For the celebration the next nine days are free of charge to enter the park so we just decided to wait and go tomorrow the weather should be in the 70,s tomorrow and much better to enjoy the hike there.  We came back and hung out at Terrason's home for little bit and then took an hour bike ride along the Virgin River.  Angela is fixing dinner tonight and invited grandma Lavon to come join us so we will be having a lovely dinner with their family tonight.  It has felt nice just to have a little get away from the chores of home.  Trisha & Buck left for California yesterday,  they're going to be gone for 10 days they invited us to come with them, Craig just felt like he couldn't break away for that long, I pack some clothes for us just in case he changed his mind.  He has to be back for his association meeting as President this year, so proud of him in his service work for the state Health Underwritters association, he has been an excellent President.  It just makes it too short of a trip for us.  It's a good 12 Hour Drive one way.  Craig is also concerned about his taxes he needs to finalize things with his accountant on Monday so will probably be heading back up north.  Wish we could make the time to go to California with the Burbidge family, but that is not going to happen.

Lazy Day

My temple service at the temple wore me out last night I have been so tired today, it has been cool and rainy all day & makes it more of a lazy day.  I babysat Tasha's kids half the day by 12:30pm I had to lay down and take a nap.  The day has gone by really quickly. Craig wants to pack up and go to St. George, he wants to go hiking in Zions National Park so that's what we plan to do the next couple days, it's going to be very rainy and cool here in the northern area so we thought we go south.  I'm all packed and ready to go for our weekend adventure.

At the Car Dealership

I finally got my car back a couple of weeks ago.  It took over 6 weeks to get it repaired from the rear- end accident in February.  Nice to have my new car back.  They are rotating the tires and changing the oil today.  I've got time to kill while I wait about an hour.  Yesterday was a busy day for me.  I got a new pellet injected yesterday morning.  It will be so nice to have the estrogen kick in, my hot flashes are terrible right now!!  I'm up and down all night long.  Tired during the day, not getting enough sleep.  From there I had to get my nails filled, put gas in my car, go to the car wash, drop off a prescription, shopping for a birthday present for Jacob, stop by the $dollar store and then hurry to pick up Boston at school, stop by his house for his sleepover stuff, and off to pick Craig up from his afternoon meeting so we could head up north for Jacobs birthday.  I left the house at 10:45 am and didn't get back home until 9:00 pm.  It was a very busy day.  Today is my temple day.  It will be another busy day.  I officiate the 8pm session so I will be home late about 10:15pm.  Pray for the energy I need this day!!!

Jacob 6th Birthday

I picked Boston up from school, so he could have a sleep over with Jacob.  Boston's birthday was last month March 13th,  they are a month apart.  Both born in 2010.  The years are passing by so fast. These two grandsons are so darling.   We gave Jacob a Captain American toy.  They both love the super Hero's.  We took the Noriega family to Wingers for dinner to celebrate Jacob's birthday.  Sharlena had a fun friend party for Jacob.  Sharlena is very creative and has planned the most darling birthday parties for her children.  Fun to visit with the Noriega grandkids.  They are all growing up too fast.    Our Handsome Jacob.

Stacy & Chad hosted a darling party for Jude Saturday.  He is such a sweet little boy. Craig took him to lunch and a drive in his corvette, he really liked that.  I helped Stacy at the party to manage all 13 little friends and cousins that attended. They had a Jedi theme.  Chad dressed up as Darth Vader and they had a sword fight with each little boy, they loved it. So fun to watch them all.  I was really tired after the party!!  It took Stacy, Chad & I to manage the kids at the party.  It wore me out!

I am a Daughter of God

“Your Father in Heaven knows your name and knows your circumstance,” said Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. “He hears your prayers. He knows your hopes and dreams, including your fears and frustrations.”  Act 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

29- For as much then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.
Visiting teaching message this month is I am a daughter of God, is so powerful to know that we lived before we came here as spirit children with our Heavenly Farther, and that this life is a journey and a test to show how valiant we will be in our testimony of Jesus Christ in order return back to our heavenly home ,  we must obey the gospel commandants and commitment to the temple covenants
