Heading Home Tonight

I have worked really hard with the time I had - for the last 4 days from sunrise until about 9pm each night. I was able toget all the boxes unpacked in the garage and put away- I had fallen in bed each night dead tired.  I’m really tired tonight.  It was a race against time today to finish up.  The boys now have their garage back to play their viedo games.  This gives Stacy peace of mind.  I know she was over whelemed. She says when she gets  overwhelemed- I just shut down.  So glad I could help her put their home in order.  Chad will have to help organize the garage how he wants.  I know it is a big help to get all the boxes unpacked.  My flight has been delayed 49 minutes.  I arrived early and have time to grab some dinner at McDonald’s- not my favorite- I was hungery.  It will feel so good to sleep in my bed.  I’ve got to rest tomorrow.  I’ve wore myself out -

Come Follow Me / Children Of The Light

This is my last night to sleep over at Stacy’s home - the week has flown by.  I have worked hard the past three days unpacking and putting things away.  I stood way too long tuesday - my back was killing me by evening I had to quit by 8pm. Yesterday I sat down in a chair as I unpacked one box at a time.  I sorted most of the day unpacking and putting things away in Stacy’s new study/ office- it is such a fun room and is where I have been sleeping the past three nights. Today is my last day. I need to be at the airport by 5:30 pm my flight leaves at 6:30 pm - I will work- hard another day to get what I can done for Stacy.  She has a busy schedule with with kids- it’s hard to get much done. I know she really appreciates all that I have accomplished putting her home in some order.  Moving and setting up a home is a lot of work.  I woke up at 2am and took the time to review last weeks come follow me lesson- that I missed being in California this past week - studying  1 & 2 Thessalonians -  I liked this quote from our lesson material - Improving Personal Study- Seek revelation daily. “Revelation often comes ‘line upon line’ (2 Nephi 28:30), not all at once. … Don’t think of [gospel study] as something you make time for but as something you are always doing”
Chapter 5 - 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
I really like these verses -
“The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is uniquely empowered and commissioned to accomplish the necessary preparations for the Lord’s Second Coming.”
Love this darling picture of our little Ashtyn that Shannon set to me-  She is a child of the light-

Natasha’s 36th Birthday

Today is my baby girls 36th Birthday-  she flys home today from our fun girl weekend.. we celebrated Farrah's Birthday and Natasha’s.  We had a fun time at the beach for two days and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.  The kids all had a great time playing in the ocean and the sand.  So fun to watch little Cora- Beach day always the best !  With my two youngest daughters Stacy and Natasha with Farrah, Annie, Cora and Enzo

Our Old Fridge Died

Our Basement fridge finally died.  We bought this fridge in 1990 for our fieldpoint home.  When we built our new Bear lake home I figure I would use it until it died - not thinking it would last 12 more years- it has been a great fridge- guess I will have to look for a new fridge to fit the space we have in our lower kitchen.  It lasted 33 years! That's crazy they made things to last longer than they do now days.

Working Hard

Natasha and the girls flew home Monday afternoon,  I was a little over whelemed at first and didn't know where to start.  I just had to dig in- pick a spot and work one corner at a time.  I started in the kids bedrooms hanging up their clothes and working one room at a time. I have spent the day helping Stacy unpack and putting things away.  Today I tackled all the kids three bedrooms hanging up their clothes and putting them away- organizing their closets-  it took me 8 hours on my feet.  I want to do more but my feet and my back are tired- I’ve got to rest - as soon as it gets dark I start shutting down.  It is dark now by 6:30 pm-  the daylight of day are now shorter getter darker earlier as winter season approaches. Tomorrow another hard working day- I’m pushing to get as much done as I can while I’m in town.  I leave Thursday evening-  so I have three more days to help Stacy unpack and put things in order.  The remodel inside of her home has turned out so nicely.  The last time we were here in the spring they had a bad water leak and  had to tear a hole in the wall.   They moved into a beach condo in May and stayed there till October 1st-  she has only been in there new remodeled home two weeks.  She has gotten her kitchen all set up.  It has turn out to be such a lovey kitchen and so much more functional. They remodeled the entire inside-  it has turned out lovely.  I worked hard and fast to get as much done as I can the next three days.  I helped Natasha move into her new remodeled home in May for two weeks and now Stacy 4 months later.  Stacy’s home is alot smaller- but very functional.  I love all the new updates.  Her office is really fun with floor length built in bookcases -   I’ll take some pictures tomorrow when I get  it all cleaned up.  I have had to move around sleeping-  I sept two nights in Stacy’s bed- last night on the couch and tonight I moved into the office sleeping where Natasha was staying.  They have their Murphy wall bed in the office-  it works nice for a small space.  I need to rest for the night- I dead tired!

Farrah’s Birthday

Stacy planned a friend party for Farrah’s birthday this year while Annie is town.  there were 8 - 9 year old girls running around when I arrived from the airport Thursday evening.  My flight in was really smooth and only an hour and a half flight which is nice- better than driving 12 hours.  Natasha helped Stacy decorate it was cute.  Annie and Farrah are only three months apart-

Farrah doing her cool pose!

Singing Happy Birthday to Farrah
We than had a glow in the dark dance -our little Annie with her glow ball she created with glow sticks -

Day At The Beach

I crashed my first night here after the party- they were still going - I was so tired I had to go lay down for a bit. I rested and got my second wind. I was able to help Stacy clean up from the party.  We went to the beach for the afternoon Saturday and out to a really nice Mexican restaurant to Celebrate Natasha’s birthday - she will be 36 years old on Monday October 23rd.  It was a nice dinner but very expensive $300 for the three adults and four kids- we all should have shared a meal there was so much food left over so we will have our lunch for Sunday.  The beach is so beautiful. The waves rolling in were so huge.  It was Cora's first time to the beach.  She was loving it.  She was knocked down once by the waves - Natasha ran to grab her up- little Cora was ready to go again- so fun watching her enjoy the waves crashing on the sand.  She would run back and forth to get ahead of them.

Hunting At Bear Lake

Chad flew to Utah from Califonia for the opening of the hunting weekend- He had two of his brothers and Chads dad come too.  Craig didn’t draw out this year - so he thought it was going to be a quite weekend- well two days before Chad called and said he was coming in town to hunt with the boys and his family.  So they have had an exciting weekend- opening morning of the hunt Chad and his brother both shot a Buck - they have had a successful hunt this year. Chad posted these pictures - The guys in Utah were hunting while the girls in I in California has a good time.  Glad Craig was not alone while I was out of town.  He had the guys to hang out with and enjoy the hunting season with them all.

Flying to California

Friday morning - I woke up early to sort and organize all the stuff from our ward party.  I was beat afterwards and had to get a good night sleep.  I was able to finish emptying my car and put things away.  I was able to wash all my cooking dishes and pack up to head out the door by 10am.  We had the three hour drive to Draper to take Marlene home.  I had to hurry and finish packing for my trip to visit Stacy for the week.  I had just enough time to finish gathering up my things.  I just packed a carry on backpack.  I had to hurry out the door and drive to Shannon's home so she could drop me off at the airport and she could drive my car to her home for the week. She dropped me off at 4:00pm and I was getting on the plane at 4;30 pm.  I fly out of the Provo airport for the first time.  It was really nice.  I would fly this route again.  I had a really nice flight.  Nice to be in Sunny California.  It was a race to get to the airport driving three hours from Bear lake, run in the our Draper home grab a few packing things, out the door, to drive to Shannon home so she could drive me to the airport, and drop me off just in time to catch my flight to California.  It was an eventful day traveling- sigh of relief I made it safely!!

Our Ward Family History Party

It was a great success- it decorated so pretty.  We had about 100 people show up- it was a full house. We filled all the tables we set up.  It was alot of work for me - I’m really pleased with the outcome.  I took my sweet neighbor Marlene who is 91 yrs old up to the lake for two nights.  She has never been up Logan canyon or Bear lake. We drove down Monday morning to our Draper home- I worked hard and fast to finish up my Halloween room and gather decorations for the ward party. I had to go grocery shopping for the ward party food Wednesday morning - We got that all loaded up and went to lunch with Micheal. We had a nice time visiting with him - Michael had lost more weight - he looks like a totally different person- so proud of him - he is in a better place now- he looks and feels great too - he lost over 100 pounds.  We packed up all our stuff and picked up Marlene and out the door we went.  We arrived at the lake just in time to unpack the food and out the door again to our Wednesday night YSA game night- we all had fun playing games.  Craig taught them how to play swoop.  From there over to the church to check on things for our setup.  The other ward had a party so they left out chairs and tables for us- which helped-  I woke up early 5am Thursday morning to start cooking- I made two large cookie sheets of layer bean dip and pico salsa -visited  with Marlene and out the door by 9am we went to decorate the church-  we were done by 12:30 -  I then had to come home and cook the taco meat for the taco salad-  I was cooking for 100 people -Marlene was a great helper- we got it all done in time to be back at the church by 5pm to finish sitting up and putting the food all out by 6pm- lots of member brought side dishes and desserts so yummy- sweet fro sister Batt- "It all turned out so cute - bright and cherry.  Everyone had a great time.  Sweet note from sister Livingston - It was so festive, wonderful, comfortable evening!  Everybody I talked to mentioned how they LOVED the entire evening!!!    YOU ROCK!!!!  Our buffet table - it was all so yummy!
Cute Marlene she is doing really good for 91 years old.  She had a great time visiting with us for two days at the lake.

Monday -Fall Day

I woke up early 6am and have been working on editing and updating my blogg entries-  fall is so beautiful Shar posted fun pictures on her Facebook page -

Sharlena and Dave on an Autumn ride up the canyon in their new car- they bought an electric car. It gets 40 miles on a charge and Dave can charge it at work- so it works out great for them- craig had gone to play pickellball with Dave last Friday night and hurt his leg the second game- he had to come home in pain-  This past week he has gone to physical therapy here at the lake.  It has been very painful for him. He has torn the  muscle in his left calf.  He hurt it 6 weeks earlier but this time in the inside of his leg - he came home from physical therapy feeling beat up - he had two session last week- Thursday he was hurting really bad.  It was black and blue-  he had a hard time getting around. It has been so painful to walk.  He  had a rough day last Thursday and Friday just had to lay around and not do much.  It was raining outside which helped to keep him down. We had planned to go to Draper on Thursday but I could see he was not doing well-  we just stayed here for the weekend.  I didn’t feel like driving down for just a day and a half and have to drive back for church on Sunday.  I do need to make a trip to town to buy supplies for our ward party this coming Thursday-  I thought about driving down to Draper today-  we talked about going down after church tomorrow but we were both tired.  I didn’t feel like driving down.  Craig is scheduled for another physical therapy session tomorrow - Tuesday morning- so not sure what I’m doing today- I might just drive to Evanston and shop there at the Dallor tree for decorations - I like the store there- it’s nicer and has more supplies than the one in Draper- I do have the big Ward party to gear up for this week and pack to leave for Califonia on Friday afternoon-  I just don’t feel like driving down to Draper - see how Craig is doing today with his leg - it is slowly getting better. He is not going to be playing any Pickelball for at least 6 weeks now.  Bummer for him!  The leaves are dropping off the trees here at the lake- it is still very lovely !

Our Farrahs Birthday

Sabbath Day

Today is a beautiful sunny day - I was able to get ready early so I could attend our Garden City ward sacrament-  we have had rain the past three days and very cloudy so nice to have a sunny day-  just pray to be safe from all the Chemtrail spraying in the sky- it was a clear day - until they start spraying first thing this morning which starts clouding up the sky with this misty looking clouds and get thicker as the day goes by as they continue to spray all day long.  I could see the plane come right of our lake home with the long jet looking steam across the sky- it then spreads into a misty stream- spreading out in a thick cloudy film across the sky.  I can see the jet stream criss cross across the sky and making our beautful blue sky this cloudy misty haze, blocking our beautiful sunshine.  This is a global effort in nonstop spraying all over the world to block the sun, in cooling the earth all in the name of global warmer.  They are spraying harmful chemicals that are not good for humans or any life on this planet.  Reports are the ocean is dying, fishes of all kinds and inscets, birds, etc.  the chemicals are taking a toll on our life support on this planet.   What they are spraying is not good for us.   Pray for the protection from our Heavenly Father it is in his hands- Evil peope incharge -they think they know better than God.  Most the population don't even notice this is happening right under us all.  I started to notice with our panormaic view at the lake and driving back and forth to the Salt lake Valley.  I can see when they start in the mornings and watch the sky become more and more murky as the day goes by.  It is very upsetting to me-  I want to yell stop!!  This is so organized and those spraying think they are doing this for the bennifit of mankind and our planet-atleast that is what they are being told.  Science is not showing the harm it is causing.  But people are not listening! or watching they are not looking up and noticing this is happening.  What can be done to stop it is the most challenging when our own governor of the state of Utah is funding the spraying project.  All I can do is pray for protection from the angels above.  God knows this is happening.  It makes no sense to me why on earth they want to block the sunshine.  A manmade plauge for our time.  The're slowly killing innocent children and women, wipping out towns of people along the borders.  It is heart wrenching another human can be so cruel- the holy war is begginning as prophecied in the scriptures, one of the signs of this time before the second coming of Christ is the war in Isreal- watching this happen is another sign being fullfilled in our time.  The second coming is coming much faster than any of us really realize, the day of warth for all the wicked is beginning to unfold.  Pray for the strength to go forth in faith and courage in these trouble times, my comfort is knowing God is incharge he will allow free agency, but the wicked will not win the battle in the end.  The full furry of hell is being let loose on the earth right now.  As I have read the scriptures over the years, I did not realize much of the pain in the world is manmade caused by mankind not God.  I enjoyed my sacrament meeting, giving peace and comfort to my soul.
The Hauber’s are speaking today about their favorite conference talk -
Sister Hauber highlighted - talk given by Gary E Steven’s - testify the message of Jesus Christ - testify of the holy truths as much as we can thru the prompting of the spirit - god has endowed us with many gifts using them to give service to bless others-
4 guiding principle - stand in holy places
Our homes - 2 stand with holy people - those you can feel the spirit- 3 testify of  holy truth as often as we can - 4 listen to the Holy Spirit - we need to know how to listen to the promptings without delay -
She gave a very tender talk - Gods knows each of us perfectly -
Brother Hauber -  comented on the baby blessing , he was touched as by the blessing for the baby boy-become the man you are meant to be-  his father gave him a beautiful blessing - speaking by the spirit - changed his talk at the last minute today - learn to be Holy What is holiness? Harmonizing our lives with God - to be more align with God - King Benjamin.- teaching - become as a child willing to submit to our Heavenly Father -  we need to keep trying -  favorite prophet Neil A Maxwell - told us a story about him- his last talk in conference - ( I was able to meet him at a relief socity event where he spoke - he is an uncle to Jodie Elshultz in our ward at the time -
Mosiah 3:16 - stive to be meek -follow the Saviors example - greatness is measured by how many we serve -  visited with several of the members after sacrament and handed out invitation for our ward party this Thursday.  I had to leave our Garden City ward building and head over to the YSA ward building for our sacrament meeting at 1pm- Craig asked me to lead the music for our meeting. I taught our Come Follow Me lesson the past two weeks- was nice to have the week off.   Brother Nate Woods lead our discussion today- he did a great job- we were few in numbers this week- we had 7 YSA in attendance.  with the leaders- brother Carlson our stake high priest leader and the Bishopric and their wive’s make 7 adults.  We had two new Elders missionaries assign to our stake this week they both spoke in sacrament along with Cory Stocks who serves as the branch clerk.  He is a very nice young man and very faithful-  the Missionaries and brother Stocks gave great and inspiring talks today.   I love the energy we feel as we are serving in the YSA branch-  Last week was really special.  We had a young man attend who is not a member.  He moved here from Austin Texas and is working for brother Smoot who is one of Craig's counselors.  His name is Kody- he jumped right in and starting reading the scriptures with us in our Come Follow Me lesson.  He told Craig he felt something when the others bore their testimonies, he could see a light radiating. He is a golden contact to share the gospel message.  We have 2 new elders assigned this week to our Stake, so it will be excting to have them teach Kody.  He didn't make it to church this week.  Hopefully he will come to our weekly activity this week.

Reviewing 1st Talk President Nelson spoke - April 2018

I have felt inspired to review the talks president Nelson has spoken since he was sustained as our New Prophet after the passing of President Thomas Monson. In Jan 2018 - he has been our prophet for 5 years now and turned 99 years old this fall.  He is the oldest living prophet we have had in this dispensation. There is so much that has been happening in the world and in the church with much growth in this 5 yr span - we have gone from 150 temple to total of 344 that have been announced, in the building process and operating.  Each conference he has announced about 20 new temple to be built throughout the world.  We are lillerally witnessing the temples are dotting the earth.  We must have the membership in these foreign countries to sustain operating a temple.  It takes many saints serving in a temple to keep it running and operating during the scheduled times.  Craig and I served in the Draper temple for 5 years on wednesday evenings it took over 100 sisters and brothers to operate this one session-  the temple has three temple worker shifts a day with that many worker for each shift 6 days a weeks so it takes 100’s of saints keeping a temple open and fuctioning.   It was such a blessing in our lives to serve.
1st message given -
Ministering the with the Power and Authority of God - this was the first talk given as he addressed the priesthood brethren in the Saturday evening session-  this was a powerful talk that I listened too today and reading to review the highlights that stand out to me.
We see faithful women who understand the power inherent in their callings and in their endowment and other temple ordinances. These women know how to call upon the powers of heaven to protect and strengthen their husbands, their children, and others they love. These are spiritually strong women who lead, teach, and minister fearlessly in their callings with the power and authority of God! How thankful I am for them!  This quote really stood out to me !   These women know how to call down the powers of heaven - to protect and strengthen their families- and others -  the power of our endowment covenants in the temple gives us even more strength and why it is so important for the temple to be built for women all over the world may receive their own endowment from God.  This endowment brings us greater strength than I believe many really don’t realize the heavenly power given as we serve in righteousness.

“I have learned that it really doesn’t matter where one serves. What the Lord cares about is how one serves.”

It is a remarkable blessing to serve in the Lord’s true and living Church with His authority and power. The restoration of the priesthood of God, including the keys of the priesthood, opens to worthy Latter-day Saints the greatest of all spiritual blessings. We see those blessings flowing to women, men, and children throughout the world.

Priesthood power has been restored to this earth, and yet far too many brothers and sisters go through terrible trials in life without ever receiving a true priesthood blessing. What a tragedy! That’s a tragedy that we can eliminate.-

Brethren, we hold the holy priesthood of God! We have His authority to bless His people. Just think of the remarkable assurance the Lord gave us when He said, “Whomsoever you bless I will bless.” It is our privilege to act in the name of Jesus Christ to bless God’s children according to His will for them. Stake presidents and bishops, please ensure that every member of the quorums within your stewardship understands how to give a priesthood blessing—including the personal worthiness and spiritual preparation required to call fully upon the power of God.

To all brethren holding the priesthood, I invite you to inspire members to keep their covenants, fast and pray, study the scriptures, worship in the temple, and serve with faith as men and women of God. We can help all to see with the eye of faith that obedience and righteousness will draw them closer to Jesus Christ, allow them to enjoy the companionship of the Holy Ghost, and experience joy in life!

A hallmark of the Lord’s true and living Church will always be an organized, directed effort to minister to individual children of God and their families. Because it is His Church, we as His servants will minister to the one, just as He did. We will minister in His name, with His power and authority, and with His loving-kindness.

Brethren, there are doors we can open, priesthood blessings we can give, hearts we can heal, burdens we can lift, testimonies we can strengthen, lives we can save, and joy we can bring into the homes of the Latter-day Saints—all because we hold the priesthood of God. We are the men who have been “called and prepared from the foundation of the world according to the foreknowledge of God, on account of [our] exceeding faith,” to do this work… Now, brethren, will you please remain standing and join with our chorus in singing all three verses of “Rise Up, O Men of God.” While you sing, think of your duty as God’s mighty army to help prepare the world for the Second Coming of the Lord. This is our charge. This is our privilege. I so testify in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
This was a powerful 1st talk given to the priesthood of entire church - to rise up in their priesthood to bless the people of the world - in preparation to prepare a people for the second coming of the Lord!  I listend to this talk and so moved by his inspiration - to rise and to do our part to bless those around us - thru the power of the priesthood.  It is a real power from God-  I’m thankful for my dear husband who strives to use his priesthood in blessing our family and ward members. I watched Craig give
many blessings to the members as they were called to new callin to serve in the ward- he set them apart and he blessed them thru the power of the priesthood.  Feb - 2022 I was still suffering from symptoms of long covid.  It had been over 6 months since we came down with it in July. Low energy and feeling nausea every day. I didn’t know if I was able to help Stacy- my heart was willing-  I ask Craig for a priesthood blessing before I left.  We had just been there three weeks earlier.  I knew our Stacy girl needed help. Craig gave me a beautiful blessing that I would be sustained with energy and that I could serve my family with the strength and health needed.  I was amazed the next morning when I woke up in Califonia. I had no symptoms of nausea it was gone !! I felt great and had energy the entire week.  I knew I had received healing from the blessing  Craig had  ]given me thru the power of the priesthood    It has sustained me thru this past two years now and a reminder to me not to hesitate in asking for a priesthood blessing- this is the purpose to heal us thru our faith and striving to live righteously.  Reviewing this talk has help me to realize the power of the priesthood in my life and for blessing others - don’t hesitate to ask for a priesthood blessing-  there is real power!!

I have reflected upon this talk all week long.  Realizing even more there is power from God in the blessing of the priesthood and that I can call down those power in my own life.  I was very touched as Craig set apart Paige Argyle as our new YSA gospel doctrine teacher in our Come Follow Me study on sundays.  He gave her a beautiful blessing- blessing her with the health and strength she needs to fullfill this calling as she is dealing with health issues right now.  She came home early from her mission after being out a year due the health problems.  She has really painfully stomach issues, sounds alot like what our Saydee Bug is dealing with too.  Bless both them with the health and strength they need to fulfill their life duties. We also had a baby blessing in Sacrament in my home ward.  It was a lovely baby blessing.  The Grandfather blessing this baby boy to become the man he is meant to be.  This really stood out to me.  And listening to the two blessings given today reinforced my testimony of the power of a priesthood blessings in our lives.  Thankful for president Nelson's words of wisdom and helping me to understand more clearly the power given in a priesthood blessing to our lives.

Ring of Fire

This morning was one of natures amazing signs in the heavens as the moon crosses over the sun blocking the sun.  Known as the Ring of fire where we could only see a glowing ring as the moon darken the sun- We didn’t have a good view at the peak of the ring.  We had too many clouds blocking the view this morning.  I was able to watch a live stream in Texas as they waited and watched for it to take place.  Much more exciting to witness in person.  I was able to see the partial shading as the moon crossed over.  During the eclipse in became very dark almost like dusk at 10am in the morning- with our cloud cover it was even more dark than usual for this time of day.   Fun to see the partial shading as the moon passed over the sun.

So very proud of my baby girl.  Last Friday night a week ago we were in town.  I went with her to their new warehouse.  It is wow !! It is huge!  I’m in awe what has been accomplished by her efforts and her team at IvyCity - they have racks and racks of dresses they have designed- 100’s - Natasha said she has to try them all on.  They have racks that they have designed and haven’t ran sell orders yet. They keep designing the most beautidul dresses.   It was nice to spend time with my beautiful baby girl-  In her patriachcal blessing it said she would have an influence for good thru out the world and many would look to her for her influence and example- I often wondered how this would happen and now see as her mother through this amazing bussiness she has created- this blessing is being fullfilled- she is touching women throughout the world in designing beatiful and modest dresses to wear.  It is all a miracle of God to see unfold in this season of her life.

Teaching Come Follow Me Lesson/ YSA Activity

I have taught the come follow me lesson the last two week for our YSA branch until we can find one of the YSAmembers to teach.  - our lesson went well both weeks-  I have been leading the music for our Sacrament meeting too.  Just wish my singing voice was still there it is harder to sing the higher notes that use to be so natural for me.  Frustrating- but guess part of growing older.  I shared this quotes from President Nelson in our lesson-

we all had a great time.  Fun getting to know the ysa members they all had fun playing pool and video games.  This was one on our lagest attendance.

Our Austin Sr. Year

Homecoming 2023
Austin & Lauryn @ Davis HOCO 🎯
Austin has grown into a fine young man.  His date on this event is darling.
