Setting Up YSA Instagram Account.
Thursday afternoon Craig and I went over to the church to see where his office will be to hold meetings and interviews. He has a room next to the Garden city 2nd ward bishopric office they will share the same clerk space. It was messy so spent time cleaning it up - moving things around and making his new office space more inviting. While Craig was working on the computer I met with sister Lamb to try to link to her YSA account on Instagram. She had set it up many years ago and forgot the password she had used. We both had forgotten our passwords for our individual account so we were able to reset easily but we could not get it to reset for the existing Bear lake YSA branch account. I wanted to just take over managing it and not have to restart a new account - we spent over an hour and had no luck - it would not accept our new passwords. Very frustrating. I picked up Craig from the church and we headed back home. I tried on my computer and still no luck linking the account. I just had to take a break. Karianne text me to see if I wanted to bottle some apricots, she had a box full she had picked from her tree. We spend the evening bottling and making freezer jam. It was 11pm when we were finally able to quit for the night. I was beat! Friday afternoon I opened up my Instagram account and finally able to set up a new account for the YSA branch. Success - we are up and Running now. This was my first post using this picture - Welcome President Symes and Debbie Symes. Craig met with the stake clerk yesterday for some training while I worked on setting up our new YSA blogg account. It took me a couple of hours- Craig just left for his first YSA meeting- he had a special moment when his eyes was filled with tears as he grasped the reality that this calling is really happening. He feels that he is fulfilling what was stated in his Patriarchal blessing from our heavenly father, directly to him that he would be called in the latter years of his life to leadership and that many would come to him because of the nearness of our Heavenly Father. Serving as the branch president gives him this opportunity to work with many and striving to encourage them to become closer to our Heavenly Father. It has been a learning curve for us both this week. He is all ready for his first presidency meeting as he works with his two counselors, brother, Smoot and brother Rassmensen and the stake high Council leader, Brother Carlson. Our sacrament meeting is at 6 PM on Sundays. I have the whole day. I’m not sure what all to do- I think I will attend our home Ward- I love attending gospel doctrine and then our single branch meetings. We are excited about this new calling!
