It always feels good to come home from a trip. Craig picked the girls and I up at the airport. I was really stressed getting on the plane. Good thing we got there early in order to get thru security. They gave us a hard time. All the extra things Shannon brought we had to divide in our suit cases. They gave us trouble over the liquids Shannon had in her make-up bag. Even though they were in the right 3 oz size she had too much. Can only have one quart size clear bag per person. So we had to divide in three small bags and the man made us go thru security again which was ridiculous, he was giving us un un-necessary grief. Our bags had cleared just the one bag. We barely got thru in time for our flight. Stacy, Shannon and I were so stressed. Thinking about it now I should have stayed with our bags that did clear. He was just being very difficult. We had no problems coming. Shannon does need to pack lighter- she brought lot’s of un-necessary things. Shar and Trisha were ahead of us, Trisha was inspected for all their left over candy treats. I’m sure they were looking for drugs. The dishonest make it hard on us all. Just so glad we made it home. Shannon has not traveled on a plane in many years so she did not understand how things have changed. We should have just had her check a bag it would have been so less stressful for us all. We just didn’t have room in my mother’s car for a large suit case. We all had to pack small. This is really hard for Shannon. Coming to Bear lake she is the same way. She has a fear, but what if I need this while I’m gone? I can see she has a really hard time. So glad she was able to come with us. That was huge just getting out of her home. She doesn’t go anywhere. We all had to have lots of patience with her. She is slow starting in the mornings. It was noon every day before we were out the door and always waiting on Shannon. She is doing much better health wise but I can see she still has a long ways to go. Traveling is hard on her when she is taken out of her familiar surroundings. She made me laugh. She says she sees spirits and sleeps with a bag of salt at the bottom of her bed and she had to put the mirror in closet at my mother’s home. It’s crazy to me, but I do know she is experiencing the unusual. I told her should have told me I would have said a prayer for her. So glad to be home. I was dead tired from travels each day and the stress of balancing Shannon in the group. She was very helpful on Saturday staying with my mother at the hotel. Mother over took her night and morning pills which made her very sleepy. So Shannon stayed with her until she slept it off. It was 89 degrees at the fair and I know Shannon and my mother would not have lasted in the heat. Going in shifts worked out great in the end. We all meet up about 4pm later that afternoon and things had cooled off. We had to push my mother in a wheel chair. She was thrilled to be there and get some fun pictures. We dropped off Shar at Dave’s work, met Ryan at the Maverick, Trisha, Craig and I went to lunch, missing breakfast we were hungry. Dropped Trisha off and headed to our new place in draper. I’m loving having a place to go when we are in town . I had to take a long nap. I wanted to stay the night and rest. We went shopping later that evening looking for things for our new place. Not much luck we are having a hard time finding what we like in décor. Everything in the stores is so modern. We didn’t find anything we wanted to buy. We came home and started looking on the classified ads. Craig found a TV entertainment online for sale only $550 up in Layton we scheduled a time to go see the next day. Fun to shop with my hubby. We ended up buying it. it will work great at our new home.
